PHOTOS: Police Kills Seven During Pro-Biafra Rally No less than seven people were killed, and about 30 more injured, some of them critically on Sunday, when the Nigerian police and navy staff reportedly opened fire dispersing a crowd of the pro-Biafra marchers at Onitsha in Anambra state. According to some reports from Anambra state, three people were fatally shot dead on the spot and 30 others got bullet wounds when the police and Nigerian navy opened fire to disperse the crowd of the pro-Biafra marchers in Onitsha on Sunday. More than twenty people were critically wounded and by this Monday morning there were seven people dead as a result of shooting at the demonstrators.

Rwanda Pastor Converts Church Members To Muslims (Photos) A Rwandan pastor has made the record of conducting the largest conversion of Christians to Muslims on Tuesday, August 25. Africa Metro reports that the pastor, Salim Mikdad, converted all 480 members of his congregation to change their faiths. According to one of the members, they were at the church for when their pastor forced them to convert to Islam. Pastor Mikdad also converted the church premises into a mosque during the conversion ceremony. This is said to have happened after an Islamic cleric had preached to Pastor Mikdad and succeeded in converting him to Islam. According to Africa Metro, Rwanda is a predominantly Christian country but of late, has seen a gradual rise in its Muslim population. About 56.9% of Rwandans are Roman Catholic, 26% are Protestant, 11.1% are Seventh day Adventist and only 4.6% are Muslim, most of them being Sunni. Lagos Man Rapes His Daughters, Step Daughter   Police have arrested a Lagos man Ajiboye Oluwaseyi for allegedly raping his two daughters and his step daughter, The Punch reports. It was reported that the 37-year-old suspect, who worked as a lotto agent, had custody of his daughters and step daughter in Lekki Phase 1 after he sent his wife packing in December, 2014. UNILAG Lecturer Rapes 18-Year Old Girl   The Lagos state police command on Monday, August 3, arrested a part-time lecturer of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Afeez Baruwa, for allegedly raping an 18-year old girl in Yaba.     University of Lagos The Punch, it was reported that the victim identified as Caroline, who is seeking admission into UNILAG, was raped inside a study room within the premises of the institution. The lecturer, who was arrested by the Surulere police division, claimed that the sexual intercourse was by mutual consent, insisting that he did not rape the victim. It was reported that the victim’s father, who belonged to the same landlords’ association as the lecturer in Abesan, Ipaja area, had allowed his daughter to follow the lecturer to school on Thursday, July 23 for her admission process. On that same day, Baruwa allegedly took the girl inside one of the study halls, bolted the door and raped her.

Busta Rhymes arrested and charged with assault      Rapper Busta Rhymes was arrested and charged with assault after he threw a protein drink at a worker at a Chelsea gym last night, cops said. KCee Rolls Out Cash To Fans At Star Music Trek Makurdi   Five Star Music front man, KCee made headlines again over the weekend in Makurdi for showing some kindness to fans on stage. The artiste gave out the sum of N70,000 to fans at the Star Music Trek 2015 concert at IBB square, Makurdi.   While dishing out hits like ‘Pullover’, ‘Limpopo’, ‘Hakuna Matata’ and ‘Your Face’ to the delight of the cheering crowd, he decided to put on an impromptu dance contest for members of the audience. The fan that came first in the contest was rewarded with N50,000 on the spot while the second placed fan was given N20,000 .The show, also featured classy performances from 2Face, Runtown, Yemi Alade and MI among others, was the first of the second phase of this year’s Star Music Trek.
