Ireland's football team refuse to shake hands with players from Israel and also snub their national anthem

  The Republic of Ireland players refused to shake hands with their Israeli counterparts ahead of Sunday’s UEFA Nations League match at the Nagyerdei Stadion in Hungary. The Irish players also bowed their heads during Israel’s national anthem before the game, which took place amid controversy and calls for Ireland to withdraw from the fixture over the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict. Following the national anthems, the two teams did not line up for the traditional pre-match handshakes, while there was also no exchange of pennants. Republic of Ireland captain Dara O’Shea did not shake hands with Israel captain Manor Solomon during the coin toss before kick-off. The fixture had faced uncertainty until Saturday following a campaign by Irish Sport for Palestine calling for the match to be abandoned.   R&B singer Jacquees was arrested in Hollywood, Florida, on Sunday, September 27, after authorities booked the R&B singer on allegations including DUI and battery on an officer.   The 32-year-old singer was taken into custody Sept. 27, 2026, according to Broward County booking information reviewed by AllHipHop .   The Hollywood arrest landed Jacquees in Broward County’s Main Jail under arrest number 132601563.   All three charges list a bond amount of $0 and a bond type of HG in the booking record. No expected release date is currently listed. Jacquees remains in jail.   Details surrounding what allegedly led to the arrest have not yet been made public.

AEW wrestling star PAC dies at 40 after performing on HBO in national championship match

  English wrestling star Benjamin Satterley, known by his ring name PAC, has died at 40,  just hours after performing in a huge pay-per-view show.   “A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability,” said AEW in its announcement Sunday night.   “Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history,” it said, extending condolences to his family, friends, and fans.   He previously wrestled for WWE under the ring name Neville, and became known for his aerial attacks and explosive style – earning himself nicknames like “King of the Cruiserweights” and “The Man That Gravity Forgot.”   The circumstances and cause of his death were not provided.   The announcement came just a day...

  A British child chess prodigy has become the youngest player in history to earn the woman grandmaster (WGM) title at just 11 years old.   Bodhana Sivanandan, 11, from north-west London, secured her third and final WGM norm, a certified title-level performance, while representing England at the 46th Chess Olympiad in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, the International Chess Federation (FIDE) confirmed. Speaking to FIDE, Sivanandan said she was happy about the achievement but wanted to "keep making history". It is the latest milestone in a remarkable rise for the schoolgirl, who has already become Britain's youngest women's chess champion and the youngest person to represent England internationally in any sport.
