Saraki Seeks Foreign Assistance To Rebuild North-East

 Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, on Wednesday solicited the assistance of the International Community for the on-going efforts  by the Federal Government to end the insurgency in the North-eastern part of the country and thereafter rebuild the area as well as rehabilitate the people.

According to a media statement made available to Naij.com by the media office of the senate president made the call at separate sessions he had with the German Ambassador to Nigeria, Michael Zenner and his Spanish counterpart, Alfonso Barnudvo Sdbastian De Erice who paid courtesy visits to him in Abuja.
He added that such support would also help bring succour to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the area while stressing that the humanitarian situation and level of destruction in the area ravaged by the insurgents require urgent and wide support across the world.

New CIA document reveals Osama bin Laden was plotting terror attack on Britain before 9/11

  Newly declassified CIA documents show that US intelligence officials believed Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda were considering attacks on the United Kingdom several years before the September 11, 2001, attacks. The documents were released by the CIA to mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and include intelligence assessments dating from the late 1990s. Among them is an August 28, 1998, briefing titled “Bin Ladin Terrorist Network Still a Threat”, which indicated that bin Laden was considering further attacks against both the United States and the UK.
