Woman fleeing Afghanistan gives birth on flight to UK

Another woman fleeing Afghanistan for the United Kingdom gave birth to a baby girl during a Turkish Airlines flight, according to reports.

Soman Noori, 26, began having contractions as the plane was midway between Dubai and Birmingham

With no doctor aboard, Turkish Airlines staff assisted the mother through labor, which took place in Kuwaiti airspace.

It was the third child for Noori and husband Taj Moh Hammat, who named their baby Havva, which translates to Eve, the Evening Standard reported.

The plane carried Afghans who worked with the UK, according to Reuters.
