  The U.S. has agreed to pause attacks on Iran, President Donald Trump said Saturday, amid what he described as the "perimeters of a deal" being agreed upon, which would include the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.       "We have just been asked by Iran, and other Middle Eastern Countries, to hold off any attack in that the perimeters of a deal has been agreed to," Trump said in a post on Truth Social. "This would include the Immediate, Complete, and Total OPENING OF THE HORMUZ STRAIT, and an end to Iran’s nuclear threat."  The president said the U.S. was "locked and loaded and ready to go" against Iran but that he agreed to cancel attacks "subject to being able to rapidly make a DEAL."   A woman allegedly stabbed her father to death before removing his heart and placing it on his abdomen, according to police.   Online jail records from the Porter County Sheriff’s Office show Serena Desiree Dolnics, 32, was booked into jail early Monday morning on a murder charge.    Serena Dolnics, 32, was found covered in blood when police busted into the northwestern Indiana home where she allegedly butchered her 69-year-old father, Gregory Dolnics, who was found dead on the floor.     Gregory Dolnics was found next to blood-spattered furniture with slash wounds to the head, face, back of the neck, and hands, and his heart, which had been carved out, was lying on his stomach, according to charging documents obtained by NWI.com.   Police found the daughter in the house with slice wounds on her hands that she blamed on gardening tools.   She told police that she and her dad “get along really well, but have small tiffs here and there and that the...

  UEFA says it has lost confidence in FIFA President Gianni Infantino and that “no option should be off the table” as it will pursue a full review of his now-abandoned plan to sell stakes of the World Cup to private equity investors.   Infantino was forced to scrap the plan early Saturday after his senior adviser, who sat on a White House panel, resigned and Asia’s soccer body joined Europe and North America in opposing it.   Infantino had proposed creating a $20 billion company to run the World Cup with private investors, but drew backlash that grew every day since Tuesday’s announcement.   “We must identify those responsible and hold them to account,” UEFA said on Saturday. “No option should be off the table.   At least 38 Nigerien soldiers were killed in two separate attacks by suspected Islamic State fighters on military positions in Niger, raising fresh concerns over the growing threat posed by extremist groups across the country.   The development was reported by security analyst Zagazola Makama. According to the report, the latest attack occurred on Friday, July 30, when suspected Islamic State fighters launched a coordinated assault on a military position at Dankassari, located between Doutchi and Yaya in the Dosso Region.   Makama reported that the attackers overran the forward operating base of the Nigerien Defence and Security Forces (FDS) after intense fighting.   Vincent Pastore, a veteran actor who played mobsters and tough guys, and was best known for playing Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on “The Sopranos,” has died at the age of 80. Bob McGowan, who had managed Pastore since his run on “The Sopranos,” stated that he learned of his death Saturday from another client and actor on the show, Vincent Curatola. He said that Pastore was found in his home on New York’s City Island after not being heard from for a few days.   An entire youth football team from Ethiopia has vanished in Sweden after the culmination of the Gothia Cup youth tournament in Gothenburg, sparking an international response.    According to Sweden Herald, around 20 people, mostly players aged 14-17 and also some adult supervisors, left their hotel without checking out and cannot be located. The tournament ended ten days ago, but authorities say the group still remains unaccounted for and has not returned to Ethiopia.   Officers are working with the Swedish Migration Agency, border police, and authorities in other countries to locate them.
