    A 67-year-old man, Abraham Olayinka, has been rescued after jumping into Asa River on Abdulwahab Folawiyo, Unity Road, Ilorin, Kwara State. Punch Metro gathered that the incident occurred around 11.30am on Monday. Traders within the vicinity, who saw him jump into the river, reportedly drew the attention of security men around the area to the incident. A commercial motorcyclist, Mohammad Abubakar, in response to the call for help, jumped into the river together with some fishermen. They were said to have rescued the victim from the river. The Head of Media and Publicity of the Kwara State Fire Service, Hassan Adekunle, who said the victim was rescued before firemen arrived at the scene, said Olayinka was unstable when he was first brought out from the water. He, however, said the sexagenarian was revived and taken to a hospital where he was stabilised.   Oh dear! Nigerians on social media have called for the arrest of Lagos lawmaker, Mojisola Alli-Macauley for allegedly using CA-COVID palliatives as her birthday souvenir. It all started when the lawmaker called Nigerian youths drug addicts, saying they go on social media to do all sorts. In her words, “They (Nigerian youths) are high on drugs all the time, most of them. They go to social media to do all sorts of things.” Some youths however in the know, have now shared photos from her birthday where CA-COVID palliatives where allegedly used as souvenirs.     Toke Makinwa has slammed those who said she must have been paid by the Government to announce she has contracted covid-19. Shortly after the OAP made the announcement on social media, some doubted if she is really infected and said she must have been paid by the Government to make the announcement. Toke now prays those doubting her truth, will also catch covid and get healed so they can learn to trust others. Reacting via her Twitter handle, she wrote ; ''And to the people saying the government must have paid me to say I got Covid, I know the government has fucked you over so bad you have trust issues, I feel bad for you too but pls let me heal in peace.     A total of 1,355,203 persons have been tested for HIV in Akwa Ibom between April and October this year. The Deputy Director Technical, Strengthening Integrated Delivery of HIV/AIDS Services (SIDHAS), Dr Pius Nwaokoro stated this on Thursday in Uyo during an interaction with some media representatives on HIV treatment surge. He said the state has achieved 90 percent HIV/AIDS viral suppression rate and successfully controlled the epidemic in seven local government areas including, Uyo, Mbo, Okobo, Eastern Obolo, and Ibeno. Nwaokoro who revealed that 65,185 people in the state are HIV positive noted that the result was based on 10 years of consistent testing and counselling carried out in 21 local government areas of the state. 

  No fewer than 72 members of a Nigerian mafia organisation in Italy, including their leader, 50-year-old Emmanuel Okenwa aka ‘Boogye’, have been arrested. The operation was carried out by more than 200 Italian policemen in Turin and Ferrara. Italian newspaper ANSA said Police made dozens of arrests against the Nigerian mafia organization called Arobaga Vikings or Norsemen Kclub International. It is organized into local cells called Decks and present in many Italian cities. National leaders of the mafia, which deals mainly in p.r.o.s t.i.u.t.i.o.n and drug trafficking were arrested. They included Boogye’, an AfroBeat DJ andthe self-styled “King of Ferrara”. In all, 31 people were arrested in Ferrara.   A Nigerian and a Kenyan national have been arrested in India for allegedly duping people of million of rupees by cloning their ATM cards.     The accused identified as Omon Benson from Nigeria and Jonson Usaro from Kenya were arrested by police in Noida on Wednesday, October 28. The Noida Police said it also unearthed their links with hawala traders operating  in the National Capital Region (NCR).     According to officials, Benson and Usaro have been active in Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Delhi, Gurgaon and Faridabad for the last 10 years during which they cloned several cards and illegally withdrew money from ATMs. "The duo was held by the Cyber Cell, which recovered 96 ATM cards, two card-cloning modules, two laptops, seven mobile phones, two pin-hole cameras, 17 sheets of debit card data, Rs 10,000 cash, among others, from them," a police spokesperson said on Thursday.     Additional Deputy Comm...
