  OAP Tolu Oniru-Demuren aka Toolz has joined other Nigerians in slamming former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, over her statement about internet fraudsters becoming role models in Nigeria. Dieziani while delivering a lecture last Friday, August 7, said Nigerian youths are beginning to emulate Yahoo Yahoo boys . A number of people called out the former Minister who is currently being tried for fraud allegedly perpetrated while she was in office, and Toolz has also weighed in.   Taking to her Twitter handle, Toolz wrote; ''See normally I would laugh but this is so ridiculous. This lady must have lost her damn mind to come online and spew this nonsense. How are you different from a fraudster ma? She actually has no shame, which is sadly common for a lot of our (present and past) politicians. No shame at all! Crazy woman. When you guys are ready...we will find space and start a new country.''

  Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has ordered the immediate closure of Umuehilegbu Industrial Market, popularly called Bakasi Market, Aba, following a mob attack on Abia State Fire Service and the destruction of Abia State Fire Service vehicles on Monday, August 10. According to reports, the men of the state fire service failed to respond on time to control a fire incident in the market. When the Fire Service vehicles finally arrived, an angry mob launched an attack, burning the vehicles.   Six French tourists visiting a giraffe reserve in Niger were killed along with two Nigerians by suspected terrorists on Sunday, August 9.  The group were in the Koure region, which attracts tourists who want to see the last herds of giraffe in West Africa. The gunmen arrived on motorcycles and opened fire at the group in a giraffe reserve in the Kouré area, the governor of Tillabéri region, Tidjani Ibrahim, told the French news agency AFP. "They were intercepted and killed," he said, confirming that six French people and two Nigeriens died. A source told AFP the tourists were riding in a vehicle that belonged to the French humanitarian organization ACTED when they were attacked at around 11:30 am.    French President Emmanuel Macron's office confirmed that French nationals had been killed in Niger.  Macron spoke on the phone with his Niger counterpart Mahamadou Issoufou on Sunday, a statement said, without giving further details.   The Koure Gir...

  A 13-year-old girl, Khadija Muttakha Kurfi has been kidnapped by bandits, alongside several other girls and women, during an attack on Kankara town in Kankara Local Government Area and Kurfi town in Kurfi Local Government Area in Katsina State on Sunday night, August 9. According to reports, the bandits who have terrorized parts of the state for a long time, attacked the two communities, razing many houses and carting away food items. Spokesperson of the state police command, Sambo Isah, who confirmed the fresh attack, said   “The hoodlums kidnapped a thirteen-year-old girl and shot one Ibrahim Yar-Garshe on his leg. The security team including Operation Puff Adder and that of Operation Sharan-Daji are already making efforts to rescue the girl. Ibrahim is also receiving treatment in a hospital.”

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West landed in Miami on Sunday August 9, after their "make or break" trip in the Dominican Republic. The celebrity couple were spotted exiting their private jet in Punta Cana’s private airfield on Sunday morning along with their four children.  The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was pictured with daughter Chicago, 2, in her arms as daughter North, 7, and son Saint, 4, walked behind her with a security guard protecting them. The Billionaire rapper, 43, was also seen leaving his private jet while a friend held onto the couple’s youngest son, Psalm, one. This comes after Kanye and Kim made a "make or break" trip to the Dominican Republic to work on their marriage after the rapper's public meltdowns. TMZ reports the family are now in Colorado, where they plan to continue their get away together with a glamping trip.

  Governor Rotimi Akeredolu's son, Babajide has tested positive for Coronavirus days after his father recovered from the disease.  The Governor's son who is the Secretary of the Response Fund Committee on COVID-19 set up by the Ondo state government few months ago, has since gone into self-isolation.
