  Former US President Barack Obama has released his Summer playlist of 41 songs for the year 2023 and two Nigerian stars, Ayra Starr and Burna made the list.   In his caption on Twitter, he wrote; 'Like I do every year, here are some songs I’ve been listening to this summer — a mix of old and new. Look forward to hearing what I’ve missed.'   Ayra Starr made it to the list with her 2023 hit song "Stability." While Burna Boy made it to the list with his song "Sittin' On Top Of The World" (Remix) By  Burna Boy ft .  21 Savage.   

YNG Cheese, the 25-year-old son of American rapper and podcast host Gillie Da Kid, has been killed in a triple shooting.    The shooting occurred in Philadelphia on Thursday night, July 20, on the 5800 block of Mascher Street. Police were called to the scene at 8:24pm.   Authorities confirmed that a 25-year-old man was shot once in the back and taken to hospital. He was pronounced dead at 8:39pm.   A 28-year-old man and a 31-year-old man were also shot and taken to hospital. Both are said to be in stable condition.   Police have not yet revealed the identity of the man who died. However, a source close to the family confirmed with NBC10 that the victim was YNG Cheese, a local rapper and son of Philly rap artist and podcast host Gillie Da Kid.    Gillie Da Kid, born Nasir Fard, is a popular figure in Philly’s underground hip-hop scene and was also a member of the local hip-hop group Major Figgas.    Rapper Wallo267, real name Wallace ...

  Italy and Paris St-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and his partner have been attacked and robbed at their home in Paris.   BBC reported early Friday that the couple was targeted by “several people” and tied up at their flat in the eighth district in the center of the capital, according to police sources.   They are then said to have to escape to a nearby hotel and the alarm was raised by hotel staff before the couple were taken to hospital.     "An investigation has been opened on charges of armed robbery in an organised gang and aggravated violence following the events that took place overnight at Mr Donnarumma's place," a spokesperson for Paris prosecutor's office told the BBC.   Unconfirmed reports on the news site Actu17 say the attackers made off with jewelry, watches and luxury leather goods worth as much as €500,000 (£430,000).   The footballer was lightly injured while his partner, model Alessia Elefante, was unharmed, sour...

  The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Friday, July 21, arraigned former Aviation Minister, Sen. Stella Oduah, and others over alleged N5 billion fraud.    Others arraigned alongside the ex-lawmaker who represented Anambra North Senatorial District at the 9th National Assembly were Gloria Odita, Nwosu Emmanuel Nnamdi, Chukwuma Irene Chinyere, Global Offshore, Marine Ltd, Tip Top Global Resources Ltd, Crystal Television Ltd, and Sobora International Ltd.  Oduah and eight others who were arraigned by the EFCC before Justice Inyang Ekwo of a Federal High Court, Abuja, pleaded not guilty to the charges.   After taking their plea, Justice Ekwo ordered that the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) take over the matter, adding that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission should transfer the case file to the AGF in two weeks.   Before adjourning the case till October 17, 2023, for trial, Justice Ekwo upheld the existing administra...
