Nigerian gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi has reacted to Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby apologizing for how the Anglican church has treated members of the LGBTQ community.  While apologizing to members of the LGBTQ community, the Archbishop said “On behalf of the church, I am sorry for what has happened to all of you and how the church has treated your community”. Reacting to the apology, Bisi Alimi said he wish he heard those words at the age of 17 when he was desperately seeking a cure for being gay.   Bayern Munich have reportedly submitted an offer worth £60m plus add-ons for Harry Kane.    The Tottenham star and England captain has just one year left on his contract and was linked with a move away from the club this summer, with Manchester United also interested in the 29-year-old.   Bayern are keen to bring in a forward this summer and Kane is one of their priority targets for the position.   Manchester United have also been heavily linked with a move for the England captain.   Bayern’s bid is unlikely to be enough to convince Levy into selling. Russian President Vladimir Putin has made his first statement since last weekend's coup attempt saying those who orchestrated the Wagner Group’s rebellion against the federation will face justice.   Putin spoke on Monday night, June 26 confirming reports that Yevgeny Prigozhin, leader of the mercenary group, would face charges despite a previous “pardon” by the Russian government. On Sunday, after leading his troops close to Moscow, the Russian capital, Prigozhin asked them to retreat and return to base to avoid spilling blood. The Wagner leader said he didn't want to topple Putin's government but to change the country’s military leaders and exact revenge for their ambush which killed “scores of his men”.   Putin said Prigozhin’s actions were a “stab in the back”, adding that Russia would take “brutal” actions to eliminate the threat that the Wagner group had become. A 'heat dome' is on the way to the UK this summer as Brits will be facing the prospect of 40C in a matter of just weeks.   Mirror reported that a number of heatwaves are expected in late July and August, which are typically the hottest periods of the year in the UK. The effects of the global El Nino phenomenon is likely to make 2023 another scorcher.   British Weather Services' senior meteorological consultant Jim Dale who noted that global temperatures are breaking records, further stated that they are likely to continue breaking records owing to the Pacific Ocean cyclical warming.   In the UK, he said there's "every chance" they'll beat this year's previous high temperature of 32.2C as they progress into summer. Controversial American rapper, Kodak Black was booked at a Florida jail on Monday, June 26, for about an hour. Recall that Kodak was arrested in July 2022 and charged with trafficking oxycodone after police say they found 31 oxycodone pills in his car. He posted $75,000 bail and was released with pretrial restrictions in place, including mandatory drug tests.   The rapper's lawyer, Bradford Cohen claimed that it was good thing as his client has been on a tight leash during his pretrial release for his prescription drug case. He was ordered to regularly check in with authorities and take mandatory urine tests, but he failed to check in recently and they went to court Monday over the issue.   Cohen said he argued in court that the stringent pretrial supervision be removed, and the judge agreed but also ended up increasing his bond from $75,000 to $250,000. Former Golden Eaglets star and FC Copenhagen of Denmark forward Akinkunmi Amoo who has been described as “Nigerian Messi” in the past, has bagged a one-year jail sentence after being found guilty of sexually assaulting three women by a Danish court.    Amoo was first arrested on September 10, 2022, before being released on bail on October 7, shortly after Danish authorities filed criminal charges against him.   Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet reported that Amoo was sentenced by a Danish court on Friday, June 23, 2023.    Reporting the outcome of the footballer's trial, the newspaper wrote;   “This is the outcome of the trial, which has been going on for most of June, where a top player in Danish football has been charged with rape in a sexual relationship other than intercourse, as well as attempted rape and violations of two more women. “It happens after he was found guilty of all three charges in the Copenhagen District Court by a dissenting m...

English pro-hockey player, Alex Graham has passed on at the age of 20.  H is team, the Sheffield Steelers announced his death on Monday, June 26, adding that they are devastated by it. Further details surrounding his death were not released.    The team officials said;    "Everyone at the club is heartbroken by the news. We wish to pass on our thoughts and condolences to Alex’s family, friends and teammates. "It would be appreciated if Alex's family could be provided time and space to take in the enormity of this tragic situation in the days ahead."     Graham first debuted for the Steelers back in 2019 and had just signed his first pro contract with the team in May. Late Pop king, Michael Jackson will reportedly be tried for allegedly molesting choreographer Wade Robson when he was a child.   According to TMZ, the California Court of Appeal has cleared the way for Robson to make his case after he alleged that MJ molested him at the Neverland Ranch when Robson was between the ages of 7 and 14.     Robson is suing Michael Jackson's corporation. But MJJ Productions, Inc. Jackson's company lawyers have argued the company had no legal duty to protect Robson or anyone else from MJ because it had no ability to control him.   The trial court bought the Estate's argument, but the Court of Appeal begged to differ, and according to a tentative ruling which almost always becomes final, the case will be sent back down for trial, the publication report. Rapper Nicki Minaj has been sued for allegedly stealing the beat for her song "I Lied" from another artist.    The rapper is being sued alongside mega-producer Mike Will Made It by Julius Johnson , who is claiming that the music playing under the vocals on Nicki's track from "The Pinkprint" sounds like a carbon copy of a song he created years before she dropped "I Lied."   Johnson claims he published his song called "onmysleeve," on YouTube in September 2011, 3 years before "I Lied" came out. Kylie Jenner has officially changed her son’s name to Aire Webster. The 25-year-old make-up mogul welcomed her second child with American rapper Travis Scott, 32, back in February 2022, making him younger brother to five-year-old Stormi Webster.   Vinicius Junior has reportedly signed a massive new five-year contract at Real Madrid.
