  The 2023 BET Awards took place on Sunday night June 25.     The annual ceremony that celebrates black artists and entertainers in music, film, sports, and other arenas, was held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, U.S.       Drake received the most nominations at this year's event, followed by GloRilla, 21 Savage, Lizzo, Beyoncé, Burna Boy, Chris Brown, Ice Spice, and SZA.     The nominations were selected by the BET Voting Academy, a group of entertainment professionals and influencers in the fields of music, media, digital marketing, sports journalism, public relations and creative arts.     The 2023 BET Awards honoured hip-hop's highly anticipated 50th anniversary with a telecast of performers throughout the night.      Among those who hit the stage for the hip-hop tribute were Remy Ma, Trina, Ja Rule, Fat Joe, MC Lyte, E-40, Chief Keef, Tyga, and a dozen more. Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy has won the Best International Act award at the 2023 BET Awards.   Burna was nominated in the BET category alongside Aya Nakamura , Ayra Starr, Central Cee, Ella Mai, K.O, L7nnon, Stormzy, Tiakola and Uncle Waffles .   Though he was not present at the show, Burna already had three BET Awards in the same category in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

    Reza Parastesh, an Iranian lookalike of Argentine football legend, Lionel Messi has denied taking advantage of their resemblance to sleep with 23 women.  The Iranian social media sensation found himself embroiled in a new scandal following a report released by Spanish tabloid, Marca, years ago. The story resurfaced on social media following Messi’s recent transfer to the MLS. Commenting on the controversy that has trailed the claim, Parastesh said;    “Hi friends, a piece of false news about me is trending on social media with regards to me sleeping with 23 women because they thought I was Lionel Messi. Please do not play with people’s reputation and credibility. “We are all aware of the fact that if it actually happened to anyone, there would be some complaints and it would lead to my prosecution.
