In a long Twitter thread on Monday night, Brymo narrated his feud with 2face, alleging that the latter sent thugs to beat him up.   Footballer, Jose Semedo has lost his wife, Soraia, and Cristiano Ronaldo has openly mourned her. The Portugal captain has been close friends with the Vitoria Setubal player for quite a long time, and posted a photo of himself and Georgina Rodriguez eating dinner with the couple. “There are times when everything takes a back seat, including football,” Ronaldo wrote.   “Last week, unexpectedly, a fantastic human being left us, our dear Soraia, a wonderful mother and the wife of one of the best friends life has given me “Nothing can erase the pain felt by my brother Jose Semedo and his whole family. But we are together, today as always, in this time to face this difficulty. Rest in peace, my friend. We will never forget you.”  

The Imo State Government has debunked the speculation that the wife of the Governor of the state, Chioma Uzodinma, was abducted. The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, said that the sponsors of the rumour are “devils’ agents.” Emelumba said that those who do not wish the state well were the same people behind the abduction rumour.   Reacting to the abduction rumour or the governor’s wife, the commissioner said, “There is no truth in that. Those who are behind the rumour are wicked and are devil’s agents. They are the ones wishing the state bad.” Imo State has witnessed a high rate of criminality including barbaric killings and kidnappings in the last few months.

Facebook stock went down by about 5.5 per cent, while its Chief Executive Officer, Mark Zuckerberg, also lost nearly $7bn to the outage that plagued the social media platform on Monday. Also affected were WhatsApp and Instagram, both owned by the Silicon Valley, California-based tech company. In all, the global economy lost billions of dollars to the outage which took place at about 4.42pm Nigerian Time on Monday. According to NetBlocks, which tracks internet outages and their impact, the outage had already cost the global economy about $160m per hour. Facebook and its affiliates have 2.9 billion monthly active users. India's supreme court has approved the government's decision to pay 50,000 rupees ($674) as compensation for every death due to Covid-19. The Supreme Court's order followed a petition by the country's lawyers seeking compensation under India's disaster management laws.   India has officially recorded more than 447,000 Covid-19 deaths so far but experts believe that up to 10 times more people could have died in the pandemic. On Monday, October 4, Justice MR Shah said the "next of kith and kin of the deceased person" shall be paid this compensation. This would be "over and above the amounts paid by the centre and state under various benevolent schemes", he said. The court added that the compensation should be paid within 30 days after a family submits an application. A 27-year-old woman, Rachel Tetteh has allegedly beheaded her husband in Eastern Region, Ghana.  The incident happened at Tei Glover, a farming Community near Akyem Bosuso in the Fanteakwa South District on Sunday, October 3, 2021.  The suspect was arrested by police while the headless body of her husband, Lartey Daniel, 35, has been deposited at the morgue for autopsy. According to local media reports, a misunderstanding ensued between the couple over alleged cheating. While the deceased was on his way to the farm, the suspect trailed and allegedly pushed him to the ground and took control of the cutlass to allegedly cut off his head.
