  The International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) has named Barcelona the best club of the past decade. "FC Barcelona won the CLUB WORLD RANKINGS of the First Decade (2001-2010) and also of the second Decade (2011-2020)," the IFFHS said in a statement. Barça were ranked with 2,877 points with rival Real Madrid second on 2,782 with German giants Bayern Munich completing the top three with a points tally of 2,594.5. The Nigerian army has denied killing a woman during a protest at Gon Gora, Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State. A Nigerian man, Dexter Enwerem has been arrested in Norwish, Connecticut in connection with an international phone scam crime organization.  Enwerem, 34, of 29 Ward St., Norwich, was charged with first-degree larceny and is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond, according to a Norwich Police Department news release Wednesday, March 24. Police began investigating a complaint in September 2020 from someone who said their 80-year-old mother-in-law sent money to “unknown individuals for the benefit of ‘helping the homeless.’” “The victim sent gift cards to suspects totaling $13,500 and an $18,000 money order to a suspect identified as Norwich resident Dexter Enwerem,” the release reads. “After a thorough investigation by Detective Scott Meikle, it was determined Enwerem was part of a Nigerian phone scam crime organization." it added

The Niger State Police Command has arrested twenty-one suspects over railway vandalism.   Spokesperson of the command, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, March 24, said the suspects were arrested at Esheti-Elegi community of Kataeregi, in  Katcha Local Government Area.      DSP Abiodun said two suspects, Yusuf Ibrahim,35, of Sabo-Kasuwa Zungeru and Abubakar Makeri, 25, of Kpakungu Minna, were arrested on March 17, by police operatives attached to Kataeregi division.    The suspects were arrested with a canter truck with Reg.   Juventus striker, Alvaro Morata  has admitted he "came close" to suffering from depression during his difficult 18 months stay at Chelsea football club of England. Chelsea paid a then club-record £58 million ($79m) to sign Morata from Real Madrid in 2017. He scored 24 goals in 72 games and left Chelsea for Atletico Madrid in January 2019 after being criticized for his style of play.    He now plays for Juventus and says more should be done to address mental health.     "I've never had depression and I hope I never do, but I came close," Morata said in an interview with El Mundo.  "I don't believe it is given the importance that it should. Former Chelsea striker, Diego Costa has reportedly reached an agreement with Benfica after the Portuguese club tabled an offer of a two-year deal worth £5million.  The Spanish international, 32, was released by Atletico Madrid by mutual consent in December and has spent the last three months looking for a new club.  Mundo Deportivo report that Costa has been speaking with his some clubs, and even turned down an offer by Ligue 1 side Marseille to join them. It has been reported that Benfica have offered the 32-year-old £2.6m a season to play for them, and Costa has agreed to the move in principle. The money being offered is said to be impressive for a player that fell out of favour at the Wanda Metropolitano last year. Costa is now expected to join Benfica in June, but he is still leaving the door open for a better option and is yet to fully commit to the Portuguese giants.    

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commissions Commission (EFCC) has declared four people including a woman wanted for various fraud-related crimes. The Antigraft agency issued the declaration via its Twitter page, alongside details of the four suspects.    See details of the suspects below.  

North Korea has fired two ballistic missiles into the Sea of Japan, says the US and Japan - the first such test since Joe Biden became US president. Pyongyang is banned from testing ballistic missiles, considered threatening weapons, under UN Security Council resolutions. Both Japan and South Korea have condemned the test. It comes just days after North Korea reportedly fired two non-ballistic missiles into the Yellow Sea. Japan said no debris had fallen within its territorial waters. The US Pacific Command, which oversees military forces in the Asia-Pacific region, said on Thursday that the test highlighted "the threat that North Korea's illicit weapons programme poses to its neighbours and the international community". Mr Biden is yet to officially comment.

As a result of this pollution, a growing number of babies are being born with small pen!ses, Dr Swan writes. Her book, titled Count Down, examines "how our modern world is threatening sperm counts, altering male and female reproductive development, and imperilling the future of the human race".   Lazio midfielder Daniel Guerini has tragically died at the age of 19. Italian media reported on Wednesday night that the teenager had passed away following a car accident in Rome. Guerini played for Lazio’s Primavera youth team after joining from Torino in January, while he also previously spent time with SPAL and Fiorentina as well as representing Italy at Under-15 and Under-16 level. “Still incredulous and shocked by pain, the President, the men and women of the Lazio Sports Club gather around the family of the young Daniel Guerini,” Lazio tweeted on Thursday. A Customs officer attached to the Western Marine Command drowned Monday, March 22, while chasing smugglers along Badagry water channel. The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) Western Marine Command, on Wednesday, March 24, announced that it lost an officer in a boat mishap The Public Relations Officer, Idaho Sulaiman, disclosed this in a statement in Lagos. He said the incident occurred at about 6:10 p.m. on March 22, while operatives of the command, Akere Surveillance/Monitoring team under Idiroko Outstation, were acting on credible information along Vawhe-Isalu creeks. Three fake custom officers including a lady were arraigned for fraud on Wednesday, March 24, before Justice Efe Ikponwonba of the Edo State High Court for fraud.  The trio, Afekhai Aliu, Felix Victor, and James Blessing Anne were slapped with a six-count charge bordering on obtaining by false pretence.  According to The Benin Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, they are alleged to have defrauded one Ikhaigbode Jimoh Oya by claiming to be Custom Officers in charge of auctioning confiscated vehicle at Idiroko, Ogun State. The US military has warned that China is quickly amassing weapons and systems to militarily overwhelm Taiwan within the next six years. Adm. John Aquilino, the Navy admiral chosen to be the next commander of US forces in the Pacific warned that China considers establishing full control over Taiwan to be its "number one priority" and that China will do it using force within the next six years. A serial Facebook hacker, Vincent Harrison Chukwuemeka, has been sent to one-year imprisonment without the option of a fine, by Justice Agatha Okeke of the Federal High court Uyo, for impersonation and obtaining by false pretence to the tune of N407,000 (Four Hundred and Seven Thousand Naira). A statement released by antigraft agency, EFCC, says Chukwuemeka falsely presented himself as Lisa, while claiming to be a representative of Facebook and WhatsApp from the United States of America, through the African Head Office. Under that guise, he allegedly defrauded one Felicity Felix Ekpezu of the said sum, as he (Chukwuemeka) deceived her (Ekpezu) to believe that she had won $971 (Nine Hundred and Seventy-One United States Dollars) and an Iphone 6s, to which she needed to pay N407, 000 to redeem. Justice Agatha Okeke of the Federal High Court sitting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Wednesday, March 24, sentenced one Henry Mfon Asuquo, a military impostor, to eight years imprisonment on a two-count charge of impersonation and cybercrime brought against him by the Uyo Zonal Office of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. In a statement released by EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, stated that Asuquo's journey to jail started on January 3, 2019, when operatives of the Commission arrested him at Ayara Street, Nungu Uko in Ibesikpo Local Government Area of the State following a petition by one Itoro Tom. Itoro had alleged in her petition that Asuquo swapped her Subscriber Identification Module, SIM card, and fraudulently withdrew  N 700,000 (Seven Hundred Thousand Naira) from her account domiciled at a new generation bank.
