Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has given reasons why he took Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo out of their game with Young Boys on Tuesday
The Red Devils began their Champions League campaign with a shock 2-1 defeat in Switzerland.
With his team one goal up and down a man, Solskjaer took off Ronaldo and Fernandes in the 72nd minute.
They were replaced with Nemanja Matic and Jesse Lingard.
“The game had gone 70-odd minutes. They’ve both been running a lot Saturday and today.
“The astroturf takes its toll. We wanted Nemanja’s experience and Jesse’s legs,” Solskjaer said.
