Manuel Baum has been sacked by Schalke after failing to win any of his 10 Bundesliga games in charge. The 41-year-old was brought in September to replace former Huddersfield boss David Wagner, who went 18 games without a win and lost his job. Baun did little to change Schalke's fortunes and only extended their winless games to 28.  Following a 0-2 defeat against Freiburg in mid-week, 'The Royal Blues' have lost patience with Baum, who failed to win a Bundesliga game in 10 attempts. A 17-year-old girl was killed by a car that crashed into her house while she attended virtual school. Aramis Mora, from Laredo in Texas, the US, was using a computer in her bedroom on Monday night, December 14, when a truck ploughed into the house. Authorities believe the driver suffered a medical emergency before the tragic accident, KGNS reports. The driver and the teen were afterwards airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.     Aramis, who attended Greenville High School, was an “excellent student” and had a “sweet, calm spirit”. Her brother Gustavo was taking a nap in the next room before the chaos unfolded. He told CBS DFW: “She was hardworking. She was really, really smart.   A Tennessee nurse fainted live on television just 17 minutes after getting the Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine.  Nurse Tiffany Dover was among the first nurses in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to receive the vaccine on Thursday, December 17. She was having an interview with local news outlet News Channel 9 when the incident occurred.   'It's really... I'm sorry I'm feeling really dizzy. I'm sorry...' she said as she suddenly started feeling unwell before dropping to the ground with two colleagues rushing to catch her.   After recovering, she and her colleagues insisted it had nothing to do with the vaccine but a condition that causes her to collapse when she feels pain. 'It is a reaction that can happen very frequently with any vaccine or shot,'  said Dr. Jesse Tucker, Medical Director of critical care medicine at CHI Memorial, who also received the vaccine.  

On a new song released today, December 18, Grammy award winning rapper, Eminem has apologised to singer, Rihanna for "siding" with her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, who infamously assaulted her in 2009. Eminem was referring to a decade-old song that leaked in 2019, on which he said "of course I side with Chris Brown" But in a new song titled 'zeus' which appears on Eminem's surprise album Music to be Murdered By Side B, released Friday, Eminem raps: "And wholeheartedly apologies Rihanna for that song that leaked/I'm sorry, Rih, it wasn't meant to cause you grief."  On his new track, he admitted the original lyric "was wrong of me". A toddler was allegedly strangled to death and thrown in an oven by his grandparents after he "cried too much" while they were babysitting. Parents Maria, 20, and Dmitry, 25, returned home in the Kuybyshevsky district of Novokuznetsk, Russia, to find only the clothes of their son Dima, 2. They discovered his remains dumped outside the house in the snow, according to law enforcement in Russia. The grandparents, aged 52 and 48, were both "heavily drunk" as they became irritated with the little boy’s tears, Plohie Novosti reports. The accused couple, who have not been named in Russian media, was arrested on suspicion of murder. Civil servants from Grade Level 14 and below in Lagos state have been directed to work from home by the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.  The directive came after the Lagos state Governor placed a ban on street carnivals and parties, and also directed worship centres not to hold services for more than two hours which must not exceed 50 per cent of the maximum capacity of the Venue. Manchester United star, Marcus Rashford is in line for a lucrative new contract at Manchester United, according to reports by Daily Star.  According to the UK publication, the English forward will sign an extension in the new year which will bolster his £200,000-a-week salary, having impressed for Manchester United so far in 2020-21. The report reads: "The England superstar's current deal runs until 2023 and has the option of an extra 12 months."
