  David Dinkins, New York City’s first African American mayor, has died at the age of 93. Dinkins died on Monday evening, November 23, at his residence on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) told CNN. The department had received a call from Dinkins's residence regarding an unconscious person having difficulty breathing, according to the NYPD. Bill de Blasio, the current mayor of New York City confirmed Dinkins's death to The New York Times. It came less than two months after the death of Mr. Dinkins’s wife, Joyce, who died in October at the age of 89. Dinkins served as the 106th mayor of New York City from 1990 to 1993, according to his bio on the city's website. He defeated Rudolph Giuliani in 1990 with the narrowest electoral margin in New York City's history.   A child killer serving life in prison for murdering a one-year-old boy has died behind bars. Andrew Lloyd, from Swansea, Wales, murdered his girlfriend Rebecca Lewis's 13-month-old baby son Aaron Gilbert. During his trial in 2005, it emerged he had subjected the youngster to a four-week catalogue of brutality. The Prison Service has now confirmed he has died whilst serving his term in prison aged 37, reports WalesOnline. A spokeswoman said: "HMP Full Sutton prisoner Andrew Lloyd died in custody on November 19. The Prisons and Probation Ombudsman has been informed." A Swansea Crown Court jury had found Lewis guilty of failing to protect her son from violent, drug-taking Lloyd at their home in the Townhill area of the city.     The United States mission in Nigeria says Nigeria is not included in the visa bond pilot programme which was issued by the outgoing President Donald Trump’s administration on Monday. In a statement, the U.S. mission said that the limited six-month visa bond pilot programme, beginning Dec. 24, 2020, affected 15 African countries, excluding Nigeria. The 15 African countries affected are Angola, Liberia, Libya, Burkina Faso, Congo, Djibouti, Burundi, Eritrea, Mauritania, Gambia, Susan, Chad, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé and Principe, and Cape Verde. The visa bond programme will require applicants for tourist and business visas from some African countries to pay up to a $15,000 bond (country dependent) in addition to visa fees. Nicki Minaj took to Instagram to share these loved-up photos with her husband, Kenneth Petty.      In the images, the rapper, 37, rocked two different ensembles, a lingerie-inspired white dress with a belt, socks, sparkling heels, and a feathered accent.   The India's Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday, November 24, announced the arrest of four people, including two Nigerian nationals, in Bengaluru after busting an international drug racket.  According to NCB sleuths, a total of 6.87 kilograms of pseudoephedrine was seized from the accused by a team led by Amit Ghawate, NCB Bangalore Zonal Director. “Acting on intelligence inputs, the drug was seized on November 11 in two parcels from Amritahalli. The seized pseudoephedrine, worth Rs 20 lakh, was concealed in baby bags.   A pedophile man, Mark Aspin, 44, and his girlfriend, 46-year-old Debbie Pickersgill have been charged with 27 offences between them including child cruelty and making indecent images of children after he allegedly raped a teenage girl so violently she passed out while his girlfriend watched as he carried on with the sick act. A jury at Grimsby Crown Court heard on Monday, November 23, that Mark Aspin, physically beat a total of three victims before using them for sex in front of his girlfriend. During one alleged attack, Aspin,  is accused of raping a teenager so aggressively that she lost consciousness.   US president Donald Trump has continued to delegitimize Joe Biden's win in the just concluded election, saying he will keep fighting the electoral results even though his campaign has lost lots of legal challenges in states where he doubted Biden's win. Recall on Monday evening, Trump said on Twitter he had given the General Services Administration (GSA) head, Emily Murphy, permision to begin conducting transition with Joe Biden's team in the best interest of the country, an indication that Trump was beginning to realize he lost to the Democrat. But Tuesday afternoon, November 24, Trump comtinued to push back on Biden's claim to the election, saying the GSA does not determine who the next US president will win.   The stage seems to be set for Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala to emerge as the next Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) as her only opponent, South Korean Yoo Myung-hee is set to withdraw from the race.
