 Donald Trump fires Defense Secretary Mark Esper

US President Donald Trump has sacked Defense Secretary Mark Esper following months of tensions between the two men.

The post-election firing of Esper, was announced in a tweet on Monday evening November 9, and comes as Trump continues to refuse to concede the 2020 election to President-elect Joe Biden over yet to be proven allegations of mass voter fraud.

In the tweet announcing Esper's sack, Trump stated that Christopher Miller, a senior-ranking counter-terrorism official, would take over the top Pentagon job on an acting basis.                   

“Chris will do a GREAT job!” Trump tweeted.

“Mark Esper has been terminated. I would like to thank him for his service."

New CIA document reveals Osama bin Laden was plotting terror attack on Britain before 9/11

  Newly declassified CIA documents show that US intelligence officials believed Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda were considering attacks on the United Kingdom several years before the September 11, 2001, attacks. The documents were released by the CIA to mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and include intelligence assessments dating from the late 1990s. Among them is an August 28, 1998, briefing titled “Bin Ladin Terrorist Network Still a Threat”, which indicated that bin Laden was considering further attacks against both the United States and the UK.
