Japanese fashion designer, Kenzo Takada dies of coronavirus

 Japanese fashion designer Kenzo Takada, popularly known as Kenzo, is dead.

Kenzo, 81, died of complications linked to COVID-19 on Sunday. He passed away in France at the American Hospital of Paris in Neuilly-sur-Seine.

The designer retired after selling his brand to LVMH, the world’s biggest luxury group. He reigned alongside contemporaries like Jean Paul Gaultier and Yves Saint Laurent.

“Paris is mourning one of its sons today,” Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo said on Twitter.

LVMH’s Chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault said Kenzo “infused into fashion a tone of poetic lightness and sweet freedom which inspired many designers after him”.

New CIA document reveals Osama bin Laden was plotting terror attack on Britain before 9/11

  Newly declassified CIA documents show that US intelligence officials believed Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda were considering attacks on the United Kingdom several years before the September 11, 2001, attacks. The documents were released by the CIA to mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and include intelligence assessments dating from the late 1990s. Among them is an August 28, 1998, briefing titled “Bin Ladin Terrorist Network Still a Threat”, which indicated that bin Laden was considering further attacks against both the United States and the UK.
