  Ahead of her world cup qualifying showdown against swaziland, the Super Eagles today began training for the match scheduled to take place in Lobamba swaziland on Friday. The Eagles camp was boisterous as all invited players were present for its first training session.   Sepp Blatter, the suspended president of soccer’s world governing body FIFA, is spending the week in a Swiss hospital following a stress-related incident, according to his personal spokesman Klaus Stohlker. Blatter, 79, had originally undergone tests and planned to stay home, but his doctors elected to keep him under observation in hospital over the weekend, said the spokesman.

  A woman wearing only faux-jeans painted on to her skin and a t-shirt was walking around the busy streets of Hong Kong and no one managed to notice it. Three-year-old Oratilwe Hlongwane, popularly known as DJ Arch Junior, was on Sunday, 8th November, crowned the winner of South Africa’s Got Talent . The youngest ever! The talented toddler whose father Glen is a part-time DJ and professional gymnastics teacher walked away from the popular talent show with $35,000 prize money.

A thief stole a laptop during the funeral service of six-year-old TJ Martin at Pentecostal City Church in Kesal Green on November 2. The laptop contains precious photos of the young boy who died tragically and has caused huge upset for the entire family.  The computer was left unattended as guests and family members traveled to Kensal Rise for the burial. When they got back they found the laptop had been stolen. According to the police, CCTV footage from the church shows a man taking the computer from its case after spending about 15 minutes in the church...

  A Nigerian man named  Chimene Onyeri, 28, has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a Texas state judge, Julie Kocurek . He was a defendant the judge was prosecuting at the time of the shooting. Chimene was in the process of being prosecuted by Kocurek in a fraud case from 2012, when she was shot in the driveway of her Austin home on Friday night. She didn't die but has an 'extremely serious injury'...

  Talented Singer and Songwriter Toni Tones is topping the Nigerian Music charts with her latest single ‘Hey Boy’. Toni Tones real name Anthonia Gbemisola Adefuye is a graduate of the University of Lancaster, United Kingdom where she graduated with honours in Economics and Marketing. She moved back from the UK to Nigeria in 2009 to chase her passion in entertainment.

  A five-year-old girl has accused five of her father’s colleagues of rape. The victim, it was learnt, was allegedly raped alongside her three-year-old sister. It was learnt that the victims and their father, Ayodele Ekundayo, who is a driver at a cement factory, lived in the same compound with the suspects who all work in the same company. It was learnt that the company, which is located in the Fagba area of Lagos State, provided accommodation for its employees.

  The Wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari, has appealed to the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), not to renege on its campaign promise of paying N5,000 to 25 million unemployed Nigerians. This is contained in a statement signed by the Special Assistant to the president’s wife on Media, Mrs Adebisi Ajayi, on Tuesday in Abuja.

  Floyd Mayweather is now responding to Adrien Broner’s shots at the throne. Broner has expressed some less-than-favorable sentiments towards some of the fighters on Mayweather’s The Money Team imprint as of late. Back in October, after snatching up his fourth title against Khabib Allakhverdiev, Broner sent a message to the undefeated champion, clowning his fighter Ashley Theophane. A Japanese man was arrested for the second time in three years for hiding under a storm drain to take photos of female pedestrians. Yasuomi Hirai, 28, allegedly hid in a sewer in Kobe for five hours in order to use his smartphone to film up women’s skirts. Hirai was discovered when a woman noticed his hair sticking up from the grate and informed local police of his presence. Hirai admitted to the crime, telling police he had been hiding in the drain since 3 a.m. Upon searching Hirai’s phone, police found several photos and videos of women’s underwear. He was convicted of the exact same crime in 2013 when he hid beneath a storm drain near Konan Women’s University. He will be charged to court.

  There was pandemonium, yesterday, at the Police Training School, Ikeja, Lagos, following the discovery of the lifeless body of Corporal Agi Elias inside his car. It was gathered that the policeman, attached to Safer High Way Patrol, reportedly committed suicide at about 8p.m, Monday, after he missed an assessment exam held at the training school. Empty cans of pesticide and some tablets, suspected to have been taken by the deceased, were reportedly found inside the car.

  One of the armed robbers terrorizing VGC Estate in Lagos was caught in the early hours of this morning. The robber and his gang came to rob a house on Road 53, but were unsuccessful as armed guards opened fire. One escaped with bullet wounds while this one was caught hiding inside a drainage. He’s been handed to the police officers at Ajiwe police, in Ajah.
