The Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, on Thursday urged the Federal Government to exercise restraint in handling the various groups clamouring for the actualization of Biafra. The President of the Ohanaeze Youth Council, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, in a statement, said dialogue was the only way out of the various agitations. He called on the Federal government to address various cries of marginalization in the South-East zone.

Not less than 35 Senators accompanied Senate president Bukola Saraki to the third hearing of his case of false declaration of assets at the tribunal this morning. The tribunal will in about 25 minutes from now deliver judgement on whether or not to continue with his trial

  Former governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu Wamakko says President Buhari must be allowed to rule beyond 2019 so that he can address the numerous challenges facing Nigeria. According to Daily Trust, Wamakko canvassed for a second term for Buhari while speaking to Law undergraduates from the Usmanu Danfodio University, Sokoto who paid him a visit at the National Assembly.

  Earlier this week rapper Rick Ross broke his engagement with former stripper Lira Galore after less than a month. And he made sure to get his $350k diamond ring back. According to TMZ, when Lira was leaving Rick's house with her stuff, she didn't leave without the ring. Rick has also deleted all of Lira's pictures from his Instagram account. Looks like he's serious!

Pastor Chijioke of Breasts and Honey New International Church, who allegedly heals women by sucking their breasts was caught in the hot seat last week when a female radio DJ called him using a fake name to ask for spiritual guidance. In the phone call, the DJ who works at Hero Radion, Nakuru, Kenya told the Pastor that her problem is that she can’t seem to get married. Every time she has a man, when things get serious between them, the men run away. 

  There was pandemonium yesterday November 4 in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital, when a 1-year-old baby fell into a well and gave up the ghost. The incident, which occurred at the popular Kampala market located at Asero area of Abeokuta around  4:00pm , left the area into mourning.

  The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has failed to arraign Gabriel Suswam, a former governor of Benue state, for alleged money laundering and corruption charges before the Federal High Court in Abuja. On Wednesday, November 4, some journalists and lawyers besieged the court premises following a statement from the EFCC over the planned arraignment of the ex-governor. Addressing journalists, who had been waiting for several hours, Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), the prosecution counsel to the EFCC, revealed that the arraignment was not going to hold as planned. He said that the case was yet to be assigned to a judge of the court for adjudication by the Chief Judge of the Court, Justice Ibrahim Auta.

Attempt by the robbers who robbed and killed scores in Igarra last 2 night to escape enroute Makeke Ojah road met brink walls as vigilantes in Makeke town took up the role of the police to protect the people. The robbers who met resistance from the civilian security killed one of the vigilantes and escaped into the forest. Angered by the death of their colleagues, the vigilantes mobilized into the bush and confronted the robbers. Four of the robbers were reportedly killed by the vigilante.     44-year-old Emmanuel Udoh has been arrested by the Lagos state police command on September 13. The native of Ini Local government area of Akwa Ibom state was arrested for repeatedly having sexual intercourse with his own daughter at his home at 2 Ajasa Command Road, Meiran in Lagos.  Emmanuel has been separated from the mother of the victim and the victim has been with him since October in order to continue her education. 

  When Bradyn Smith was 4, his father put him in time-out and his mother got mad. He said he heard his parents fighting. He said he saw his father shove his mother. Then, he said, he watched his mother grab a knife, drive it through his father’s chest and toss it into the sink. His father, Robert Takach, died at the hospital at age 25. His mother, Shannon Smith, now 29, was convicted of voluntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence in the 2009 slaying. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

  A four-year-old boy has been hospitalised after having a stone thrown at him by a resident of a troubled German migrant centre which has seen riots and Islamist violence. The young boy, who has not been identified, suffered “massive bruising” after he inadvertently interrupted a football game taking place at the state of Thuringa migrant centre in Suhl, Germany.

  Eddie Murphy, 54, is going to be a dad again. The Oscar-nominated actor and his girlfriend, Paige Butcher, 36, will welcome a new baby in May 2016. This will be the comedian's ninth child, his first with Butcher.
