It Is Hard For Women To Seduce Me - Victor Olaotan

Victor Olaotan
Nollywood actor Victor Olaotan, who played the lead role in popular soap opera Tinsel for years before he quit, in a recent interview boasted that none of his former colleagues on the TV show were able to seduce him.

Speaking with Nigeriafilms, Olaotan recalled an incident where a female fan approached him but he refused her advances, citing his self-control while a regular cast member on the TV series to emphasise his point.
He said: “A lady walked up to me at the airport one day and asked to have my number. When I asked her what for, she said, ‘I want to be one of your girls’. I said I don’t have girls. The only girls I have are my daughters. I worked with Tinsel for seven years and I never messed around. Some of the girls on set could even come and sit on my laps, but I have never fallen for anyone of them.”
He said he was still very much in love his wife which makes it easy to resist all forms of temptations from any woman.
He said: “I keep away from such temptations because of my Christian life. I even know some women in the industry who are much disciplined.”
When asked why he left the popular soap, he said because the cast were no longer being well cared for.
“Towards the end, I found out that the company was not taking care of us like they should. We were contractors and we didn’t get any bonus. I expected that we should be able to live in big houses and drive in nice cars and these were our demands.”
Olaotan began his career as an actor when he joined the University of Ibadan Theatre Group. There, he met other artists such as Professor Wole Soyinka and Jimi Solanke, among others.
After his father died, he traveled to the United States of America in 1978 but returned to Nigeria in 2002 to continue his career in acting. He became popular in 2013 from playing the lead in Tinsel.
