The block 8 residence of the woman and daughter who were reportedly killed during the banks’ robbery in Festac earlier today
This much was disclosed by the victim’s neighbour, during a brief chat with our correspondent shortly after the incident which took place at the Diamond and Access bank branches on 4th Avenue, Festac Town.
The victim, who resides at Flat 13, Block 8, in the same area, was said to have been confused when she started hearing gunshots from different angles during the attack and tried to take cover from the bullets when she was hit.
This situation has thrown her neighbours and friends into a state of confusion as scoops have it that the husband was away at work when the unfortunate incident happened.
“She was sleeping when she started hearing the gunshots and in her confused state, she tried to take cover when she was hit by the bullet, as well as her baby who is just a little over one year.
“The baby died instantly and I think the mother, who was immediately rushed to the hospital, also lost her life in the process,” the young man narrated.
Two other people were also confirmed to have been hit by the robbers’ bullets during the operation as the nobody could dare them while the whole duel lasted.

According to a mechanic who works in the area, an unidentified man who parked his car close to the scene of the robbery was also hit by stray bullets, as well as a security man in one of the banks.
“The distance between the place of the operation and where the man parked is car is quite far, but just for you to know how sophisticated the robbers’ guns were, the man was hit by a stray bullet where he stayed.
“The Diamond bank robbery is a very unfortunate one, not for any other reason, but because they opened that branch just about three months ago.
