Mikel Arteta has broken his silence after Arsenal were crowned Premier League champions.   The Gunners became champions for the first time in 22 years thanks to Manchester City drawing 1-1 away at Bournemouth on Tuesday. It came 24 hours after Arsenal beat Burnley 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium. Those results mean Arsenal have a four-point buffer over City with one game left to play.   The Gunners last won a Premier League title in the 2003/04 season when Arsene Wenger’s side went the whole league campaign unbeaten and were named the ‘Invincibles’.   Following confirmation of their Premier League title triumph, Arsenal released a video of Arteta, who had a message for the Gunners support.   Arteta said: “We made history again, together.   Nigerian Afro-house singer,  Niniola Apata popularly known as Niniola, is mourning the passing of her husband, Michael Ndika, CEO of NaijaReview, leaving fans in shock as she also revealed for the first time that they had been together  for 13 years.    She shared the heartbreaking news through a series of emotional posts on her Instagram Story on today, May 20, 2026. The ‘Maradona’ hitmaker wrote, "God took him. 13 years. 13 f * ing years," alongside photographs of the couple. The circumstances surrounding Ndika’s death were not immediately disclosed. Niniola has largely kept her private life away from the public eye and social media.   May his soul rest in peace, Amen.  

  Shukurat Oladipo has been named the Best Defender of the Season in Italy’s Serie A Femminile following an outstanding campaign with AS Roma Women. The 21-year-old Nigerian defender received the award during a gala ceremony held on Monday night after impressing throughout the season with her performances at the heart of Roma’s defence. Oladipo was also included in the league’s Team of the Season after helping Roma secure their third league title in four years.   The Nigeria women's national football team star joined Roma in February 2025 from Robo Queens and quickly established herself as one of the club’s most dependable players. She made 18 league appearances during the campaign as Roma finished the season with one of the strongest defensive records in the division and suffered just one defeat.   The alleged gunmen involved in a shooting rampage that left three people dead outside a San Diego mosque have been identified as 17-year-old Cain Clark and 18-year-old Caleb Velasquez, according to a law enforcement source.   At least one of the suspects took a weapon from their parents’ home and left a suicide note that talked about racial pride, a law enforcement source told The Post.   Clark attended Madison High School and was a standout wrestler, according to the school’s social media page.  His grandfather, David Clark, 78, said: ”We’re very sorry for what happened. We know as much as you do.   Enzo Maresca has reportedly signed a three-year deal to replace outgoing Man City manager Pep Guardiola, after it was revealed that the legendary head coach will be leaving the Etihad at the end of the season.   Speculation around Guardiola's departure date has been rife as the season draws to a close, despite the Catalan denying it, as he has one year left on his contract. The son of the billionaire founder of fashion giant Mango has been arrested after his father died in a mountain fall two years ago. Tycoon Isak Andic, 71, was hiking with his son Jonathan, 45, in the mountains near the Catalan city in December 2024 when he plunged around 500ft down a cliff to his death. Having opened and then closed an investigation into the fatal fall, police confirmed the death was being investigated as a possible homicide in October. Jonathan was photographed today being escorted into a court in Martorell by at least three officers with his head bowed.
