Rapper Skepta has issued an apology after being accused of using antisemitic imagery as the cover art for his latest single.    Skepta announced his new single 'Gas Me Up' using the image of a guy with a shaved head with the words the title of the single inscribed.     Reacting to the criticism that followed, Skepta completely owned the screwup, apologizing and also explaining what he was going for.    He wrote;    “I’ve been waiting to drop ‘Gas Me Up (Diligent)’ since teasing it April last year, worked hard getting the artwork right for my album rollout which is about my parents coming to the U.K. in the 80’s, Skinhead, Football culture and it has been taken offensively by many. Amalija Knavs, the mother of former US first lady Melania Trump, has died at the age of 78.   Melania was missing from a Trump family Christmas photo featuring her husband, former President Donald Trump, and three of his five children because she had been at Knavs’ side in the hospital.  “It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved mother, Amalija,” Trump wrote on X Tuesday. “Amalija Knavs was a strong woman who always carried herself with grace, warmth, and dignity. She was entirely devoted to her husband, daughters, grandson, and son-in-law. We will miss her beyond measure and continue to honor and love her legacy.”     Melania Trump did not disclose a cause of death.   Barcelona legend, Gerard Pique has announced his shock return to football, just 14 months after he hung up his boots.     The former Barcelona and Manchester United defender had announced his sudden retirement back in November 2022. But the 36-year-old has teased a return to football, revealing that he will be looking to take up a new role within the game.   In a message on social media, he wrote: 'It's a new year and after thinking carefully I have decided to return to football.       'I miss it a lot. This time it won't be as a player. It will be as a coach. North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un has branded South Korea his country's 'principal enemy' and warned he would not hesitate to annihilate it. The dictator was also quoted by state media saying he had 'no intention of avoiding war' with his country's historic enemy to the south.  The report follows recent live-fire exercises by Pyongyang's military near the contested maritime border that prompted counter-drills and evacuation orders for residents on two South Korean border islands. 'The historic time has come at last when we should define as a state most hostile toward the Democratic People's Republic of Korea the entity called the Republic of Korea,' Kim was reported as saying by the official Korean Central News Agency.  Kim, urging factory workers to modernise and 'produce more weapons', said he had 'no intention of avoiding a war' and warned he would have no hesitation in 'annihilating' South Korea, KCNA added....

Food Network host, Darnell "Super Chef" Ferguson has been arrested in Kentucky and has been hit with some serious charges.    Ferguson who was booked into the Louisville Metro jail on Tuesday afternoon on two felonies, burglary and strangulation, faces five misdemeanours which are assault, menacing, criminal mischief, terroristic threatening and theft receipt of stolen credit and debit card.     According to his profile on the Food Network website, Ferguson is a "celebrity chef, restaurateur and entrepreneur" who currently hosts "Super chef Grudge Match" and shares recipes and videos on social media.   He has appeared in three seasons of Guy Fieri 's "Tournament of Champions," which pits the world's culinary masters against one another in cooking competitions.

Four babies were killed in a fire at a maternity hospital just hours after their birth.   A crowd gathered outside the building in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, in the late hours of monday, Jan. 8. Footage shows firefighters rushing into the burning hospital and bringing out newborns from the neonatal unit.   Several engines pumped water towards the third and fourth floors, where the fire is believed to have started. “The corpses of four children who were treated in the neonatal intensive care unit of the center were found,” a joint statement of the General Prosecutor’s Office and the Ministry of Health and Medicine said.     Three other people were hospitalised with smoke poisoning, but their condition is stable.   Altogether 26 babies were evacuated from the maternity hospital, local media Axar reported.     Ministry officials later confirmed that the fire at the Republican Perinatal Center on Yusif Safarov Street in the capital was extinguis...

A Russian war journalist has been found dead after vowing to release new details of 'gigantic corruption' in the Vladimir Putin-invaded Ukrainian city Mariupol.     The body of Alexander Rybin, 39, was discovered by a roadside near Shakhty, in Russia's Rostov region, on Saturday, January 6.  Rybin reportedly died after a visit to occupied Mariupol in which his on-air report criticised the Putin regime for its slowness in rebuilding the war-blitzed city which the dictator sees as a holiday location for Russians on the Azov Sea.     The reporter revealed an influx of immigrants to undertake the reconstruction and a huge money pumped in from Russia. He also slammed the 'gigantic corruption', and vowed to reveal more details in a live broadcast on left-wing online outlet Rabkor after returning to Moscow.
