A woman, Alec, has celebrated her 12-year-old goddaughter who was shot in the face by her father 11 years ago.  According to Alec, the man also killed the girl's mother.    “11 years ago, my babygirl was shot in the face by her father at 1 year old. She’s now 12 almost 13 dancing all over the country & the most beautiful girl ever,” she wrote in a post on Saturday, December 9, 2023.    

A popular photographer based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State who is best known as Wildshot, has died in a lone car accident in the Wimpe area of Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State.     According to reports, the photographer was said to have rammed into a building while trying to overtake a trailer at about 9pm on Friday, December 8. The deceased who was an only child, was reportedly at a popular gymnastics centre in Port Harcourt when his mother in the Rumuola area called him to complain that some suspected cultists were shooting around her residence.   Late Wildshot was said to have abandoned his activities at the gym, hopped into his vehicle and rushed to the area in a bid to save his mother. Eyewitnesses claim late Wildshot who was on speed, tried to overtake a trailer but lost control of his car, rammed into a building and sustained serious injuries. The General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has revealed how he would like to die.    While speaking at his church's ongoing annual Holy Ghost Congress in Ogun State on Thursday, December 7, the 81-year-old clergyman said he wanted a death similar to one of his uncles.   “I know somebody will say if we are never sick, how are we going to die and go to heaven? You don’t need to be sick to go to heaven.   An uncle of mine woke up on a Thanksgiving Sunday, went to Church, danced like everybody else, came home and his wife gave him a light breakfast before preparing the original food which was pounded yam. She was already pounding the yam when my uncle decided to go to the toilet.   After she finished pounding, she knocked at the door of the toilet, when they opened the door, my uncle was gone; no sickness, no ache, no pain. If the Lord tarries His coming, I will go on a Sunday after a good meal of pounded yam.”

  The United States vetoed a resolution calling for a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war at the United Nations Security Council on Friday, December 8.   The Security Council vote on the resolution, backed by Arab states, had 13 in favor and one — the U.S. — against, while the United Kingdom abstained. After the vote, the U.S. deputy representative to the U.N., Robert Wood, said the resolution was rushed and ignored U.S. diplomatic efforts to get more aid into Gaza and free hostages taken by Hamas militants in the Oct. 7 attack on Israel. "We propose language ... that would have reinforced the life-saving diplomacy we have undertaken since Oct. 7, increased opportunities for humanitarian aid to enter Gaza, encourage the release of hostages and the resumption of humanitarian pauses and laid a foundation for a durable peace," Wood said. American rapper, 2 Chainz was rushed to the hospital early on Saturday morning after his car was hit by an alleged drunk driver. The “It’s a Vibe” rapper born Tauheed K. Epps  took to his Instagram Story to share video footage of himself on a stretcher being carried into an ambulance. TMZ reported that the Atlanta rapper was rushed to a hospital after he was hit by a car in Miami by an alleged drunk driver. Thankfully, 2 Chainz has been listed in stable condition. “We’re told cops suspect the other driver may have been driving under the influence,” TMZ reported,  According to the publication, 2 Chainz, 46, suffered neck injuries and possibly other injuries but is in stable condition at the hospital.

American actor, Forest Whitaker's ex-wife Keisha Nash Whitaker has died at the age of 51, following a battle with anorexia.     The former couple's daughter True Whitaker, 25, confirmed the tragic news via her Instagram account, calling her 'the most beautiful woman in the world' in a heartbreaking post, but did not elaborate on the cause of death.      It was gathered that Nash-Whitaker died earlier this week after being in and out of hospital for the past few months with intestinal problems, following a years-long battle with anorexia.      'Keisha battled anorexia for years,' says a source.
