Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted of murdering George Floyd was on Friday, November 24, stabbed in a federal prison in Arizona and seriously injured.  The attack happened at the Federal Correctional Institution, Tucson, a medium-security prison that has been plagued by security lapses and staffing shortages. The person was not authorized to publicly discuss details of the attack and spoke to the AP on the condition of anonymity. The Bureau of Prisons confirmed that an incarcerated person was assaulted at FCI Tucson at around 12:30 p.m. local time Friday. In a statement, the agency said responding employees contained the incident and performed “life-saving measures” before the inmate, who it did not name, was taken to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation.    No employees were injured and the FBI was notified, the Bureau of Prisons said. Australian basketball star Josh Giddey is being investigated by the NBA following an allegation of the Boomers ace having an improper relationship with an under-aged girl. In a since-deleted post, an anonymous social media user said a girl who is seen with Giddey in videos and photographs was a high school junior at the time. The social media account has since been deactivated. Giddey just turned 21 in October.   T he Oklahoma City Thunder guard was on Friday peppered with questions about the social media storm.   A mom-of-two has died from drinking too much water and her husband lays all the blame on the health facility. Michelle Whitehead, a 45 year old woman, from England, was taken to Millbrook Mental Health Unit in Nottinghamshire on May 5, 2021, after suffering a mental breakdown, the BBC reported. . She died two days later after drinking water excessively and going into a coma, something the staff discovered too late, he claimed.   “Had they acted earlier Michelle would have been taken to ICU and put on a drip. That would have saved her life,” Michael Whitehead, Michelle’s husband of 22 years, claimed. Nuella Njubigbo has welcomed a baby boy. The Nollywood actress shared the news on Instagram and revealed that his name is Giovanni Munachimso.       Nuella was married to movie producer Tchidi Chikere in 2014 and their union produced a daughter. Their separation became public knowledge in 2021. In May this year, after Tchidi announced that he has married for the third time, photos of Nuella and a man believed to be her new husband went viral.

Swedish trail runner,  Emilia Brangefalt, has passed away at the age of 21 after taking her own life. The long-distance athlete won bronze in 2022's Trail World Championships 40km race in Chiang Mai, and this year came fifth in a world championship race in Innsbruck but was forced to take a break from the sport after being diagnosed with an extremely high heart rate.  In a post shared to her Instagram account on November 4, Brangefalt narrated her difficulties, explaining how she had been suffering both physically and mentally after being forced to take a break from the sport.
