Former NFL star Sergio Brown has been reported missing after his mother was found murdered near a stream behind her home.   Relatives of the former football star, 35, told authorities in Illinois that they couldn't reach either him or his 73-year-old mother, Myrtle Brown, on Saturday, September 16.   A search for the mother and son began and Myrtle Brown was found dead near a creek behind her home according to authorities in a death that has since been ruled a homicide.     The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office made the decision on Sunday, September 17, as officials said she reportedly died from multiple injuries consistent with an assault.   Sheila Simmons, the fatal victim’s sister, told WGN-TV she last spoke to Brown on Thursday, September 14, and was told on Saturday morning her sister and nephew were missing.   "We’re going to find out what happened because it’s not normal for my sister to not answer her phone, not to respond to text ...

Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan won the Diamond League trophy for the third consecutive time.   With 12:33 seconds record, Amusan emerged the winner of the fiercely contested 100m hurdles event on Sunday night, September 17, 2023.   Puerto Rico’s Jasmine Camacho-Quin came second in 12.38s, Kendra Harrison of the US finished third in 12.44, and world champion Danielle Williams of Jamaica finished fourth in 12.47.   Tobi Amusan set the record at the competition in Eugene, Oregon, USA, where she won the world title in 2022.   Singer Adele has sparked speculations of marriage after addressing her boyfriend, Rich Paul, as her “husband”.      Adele said this when a female fan asked if she could marry her, saying she's already hitched. She turned the woman's marriage proposal down in hilarious fashion, saying she's straight, and not just that, but that her "husband" was in the crowd and probably wouldn't appreciate it.   The British singer didn't say Rich's name, but he's the only one she's seeing.   It's unclear if Adele simply misspoke here, or if she did actually say "I do" the famous basketball agent who represents the likes of LeBron James and tons of other NBA stars.   This is far from the first time people have speculated on where things are between Rich and Adele. The first wave of marriage rumours came when eagle-eyed fans noticed a book at her house with the title “The Pauls.”  

  Lamar Odom was reportedly involved in a minor car accident in Los Angeles early Monday morning, September 18. The former NBA player, 43, was reportedly not injured but shaken up after his Mercedes was wrecked when he collided with two parked cars around 3 a.m. According to reports by TMZ, he was behind the wheel and was on his way back home from a friend's in Northridge when he got into an accident in a residential area near his home. Because he dropped his phone and was reaching down to retrieve it, he ended up hitting one parked car which bumped into another one in front of it. No one was inside of the parked cars at the time of the accident. When authorities arrived at the scene, the two-time NBA champion was reportedly cooperative and explained how the accident occurred. French President, Emmanuel Macron has revealed that the country's envoy to Niger and his staff are "literally" living like hostages in the embassy.   Macron said envoy Sylvain Itte remains persona non grata while accusing the Niger junta of blocking food deliveries to the consulate where the diplomatic staff is living in miserable conditions. "As we speak, we have an ambassador and diplomatic staff who are literally being held hostage in the French embassy," Macron told reporters during a visit to Burgundy.   "They are preventing food deliveries. He is eating military rations," he added.   Asked if his government was planning to bring Itte back home, Macron said: "I will do whatever we agree with President Bazoum because he is the legitimate authority and I speak with him every day." Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Japan midfielder Wataru Endo from Stuttgart, subject to a work permit and international clearance. The 30-year-old Japan international has signed a four-year contract which will keep him at Anfield until 2027, in a deal worth £16.2m.  Endo, who arrives on Merseyside after four seasons at Stuttgart, where he made 133 appearances and scored 15 goals, told the club's website: "I'm very happy right now and I'm so excited to join a big club in Liverpool.
