Barcelona president, Joan Laporta has revealed that the club will continue to pay 'outstanding payments' to Lionel Messi until 2025.   Messi, who spent the vast majority of his illustrious career at Barcelona, left in 2021 to join Paris Saint-Germain. Laporta has now revealed that Barcelona still owes the Argentina star the deferral of the wage bill that was agreed with the previous board.    After making his debut in 2004, Messi went on to play 778 times for Barcelona and scored a remarkable 672 goals, cementing his status as one of the greatest players of all time.   Negotiations regarding a new contract at Barcelona in 2021 proved difficult due to the club's financial problems.     Laporta said: 'We have outstanding payments to Messi until 2025.   Two people have been killed and 28 others injured after a "mass shooting in Baltimore.   The shooting, which took place at about 12:30am on Sunday, July 2, in the Brooklyn Homes neighborhood in the southern district of the city left two people dead and 28 others with injuries, including three who remain in critical condition, according to the Baltimore Police Department.     Acting Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley explained that one woman was found dead on the scene when responding officers arrived after receiving numerous calls about a shooting just after 12:30 am. Nine people were transported by EMS to area hospitals. 20 others went to hospitals as walk-in patients as a result of the shooting.   "BPD is on scene of a [mass] shooting incident in the 800 blk of Gretna Court in our Southern District," authorities said in a statement released on social media regarding the shooting. Former Arsenal, Chelsea, and Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas has announced his retirement from football at the age of 36. Fabregas earned 110 caps for Spain in an international career that saw him win back-to-back European Championships and the World Cup in between those successes. The Spaniard began his career at Barcelona's La Masia, but made his professional debut for Arsenal at 16 and spent eight seasons in north London before returning to Catalonia. Having won the FA Cup with the Gunners, Fabregas enjoyed even greater success in Spain as he lifted La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup over a three-year stay. Fabregas then returned to the Premier League with Chelsea and won the title twice, first under Jose Mourinho and then under Antonio Conte. German bodybuilder and YouTube influencer, Jo Lindner has died at the age of 30 after a sudden aneurysm.   Jo, known online as "Joesthetics", passed away after suffering from mystery neck pain, his grieving partner Nicha said.   Nicha posted on Instagram: "He was in my arms... than this is just happening too fast... 3 days ago he kept said that he had pain in his neck ... we didn't really realise it until it was too late. Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) has been tasked with assassinating mercenary boss Yevgeny Prigozhin following the failed mutiny, the Ukranian government has announced . Prigozhin launched a "march for justice" against Russian military leaders on June 23 after a missile attack allegedly targeted Wagner troops in Ukraine. Paris St-Germain coach,  Christophe Galtier has reportedly been taken into police custody over allegations of discrimination during his time in charge of Nice. The 56-year-old, who is understood to be on his way out of PSG this summer, spent 12 months with Nice before making the move to the Parc des Princes last year.   According to French television channel RMC Sport, Galtier and his adopted son John Valovic-Galtier, who also works as his advisor, were taken into police custody at 8:45am on Friday as part of an investigation into alleged discrimination at Nice.   The father and son were said to have been summoned by investigators looking into accusations of racism at the Ligue 1 club. French newspaper L'Equipe claim the pair are facing accusations of racism from ex-Nice sporting director Julien Fournier.
