Real Madrid winger, Vinícius Júnior has called La Liga and Spain racist after he received racial slurs from fans in Sunday’s defeat at Valencia’s Mestalla stadium.   The Brazil international pointed out Valencia fans who were insulting him, leading to the match being stopped for 10 minutes, and then got into an altercation with Valencia’s players which led to his sending-off in added time. Taking to Twitter to react, Vinicius said “racism is normal in LaLiga” and that "the championship that once belonged to Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Cristiano, and Messi today belongs to racists.”      “It was not the first time, nor the second, nor the third.   Warner Bros. Discovery CEO, David Zaslav got booed while giving his speech at Boston University's graduation ceremony held the weekend.    TMZ reported that Zaslav who was the commencement speaker Sunday for BU's class of 2023, was heckled over the ongoing writers' strike. The heckling began when Boston University President Robert A. Brown introduced the Warner Bros. CEO during the 150th commencement exercises at Nickerson Field. The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has tackled Nigerians who are linking the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to last week's attack on the convoy of US consulate staff in Ogbaru, Anambra State, last week.   In a statement released by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, the group asked that Nigerians should desist from linking the former Anambra state governor to the attack and described the allegation as a mere demonization by those it noted do not want Obi to succeed. IPOB argued that Obi “won” the February 25 presidential allegation and that his mandate is divine and can never be truncated by anyone.   “Those linking Peter Obi to these attacks on US Embassy Convoy are the ones that fingers are pointing to regarding the crisis happening in the south East region. Adidas is set to start selling off $1.3 bILLION-worth of remaining Kanye West's Yeezy left over after cutting business ties with the rapper following his antisemitic tirade last year.   The German athletic apparel and footwear corporation will also donate a portion of its upcoming profits from its Yeezy products to the Anti-Defamation League and other charities 'working to combat discrimination and hate, including racism and antisemitism.'   TMZ is reporting the company is expected to start selling off the remainder of its Yeezy sneakers and other inventory items within days, which will mark the first time consumers can buy Yeezy products since October 25, when Adidas broke off business ties with the rapper and entrepreneur.   The controversy behind the business fall out for West began when he and some of his models wore a shirt emblazoned with the phrase 'White Lives Matter' on its back for his Yeezy Paris Fashion Week show on October 3. ...

Manchester City won the Premier League title on Saturday, May 20 after Arsenal’s shock 1-0 loss at Nottingham Forest ended all mathematical chances of Mikel Arteta's men overtaking Pep Guardiola’s side in the title race. Rapper Fetty Wap has asked a judge in his federal drug trafficking case to only sentence him to the mandatory minimum years.    Fetty is seeking a 5-year sentence after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute at least 500 grams of cocaine stemming from his October 2021 arrest.  His lawyers told the judge that Fetty “accepts full responsibility for his crimes, but his conduct here does not and should not define him”. They attached a bunch of positive letters from family and friends, who said Fetty was just trying to provide for them financially by selling drugs.   In spite of the rapper's plea, prosecutors want Fetty to spend between 87 and 108 months behind bars.   An American photo agency has dismissed a demand by Harry and Meghan to hand over pictures from what they claimed was a 'near catastrophic' car chase with paparazzi in New York this week. Backgrid USA reportedly said the prince's 'English rules of royal prerogative to demand that the citizenry hand over their property to the Crown were rejected by this country long ago'.  The agency has confirmed it received photos and footage from four freelance photographers – three of whom were in cars and one riding a bicycle – taken on Tuesday night, May 16.   But it has rejected claims by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex of a 'near catastrophic' car chase through Manhattan's Upper East Side after the couple appeared at an awards ceremony.   US gossip website TMZ on Thursday published details of the legal tit-for-tat, including part of a letter sent to Backgrid by the Sussexes' lawyers.   It reportedly read: 'We hereby demand that Backgrid immedi...
