  Five men were burnt to death after they allegedly attempted to snatch a tricycle operator of his tricycle in Onitsha, Anambra State.    The incident occurred at old Nkpor road, close to the headquarters of People’s Club, in the commercial city of Onitsha on Saturday, March 25, 2023. According to an eyewitness, the suspects allegedly tried to steal a tricycle from the owner in broad daylight when they ran out of luck and were caught.   “Mob who gathered after the men were rounded up, refused the advice of some people to call in the police. They first started by striping the men naked and beating them up, and eventually, some people brought old tyres and fuel, and they were set ablaze. It was a very bad sight today, and everyone watched and supervised, while the men burnt to death,” he said.  

Former Chief of Staff under late Head of State, General Sani Abacha, Oladipo Diya, is dead.  His death was announced in a statement released by his son, Prince Oyesinmilola Diya, on Sunday morning,  March 26.     It reads “On behalf of the entire Diya family home and abroad; We announce the passing on to Glory of our dear Husband,Father, Grandfather, brother, Lt- General Donaldson Oladipo Oyeyinka Diya (retd) GCON, LLB, BL, PSC, FSS, mni.   Marvel actor, Jonathan Majors has been arrested for reportedly assaulting a woman following a domestic dispute.   The 33-year-old actor was arrested on Saturday March 25, over accusations of assault, strangulation, and harassment involving a woman in a New York apartment.     He is said to have been involved in an alleged domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman, though a representative for Majors denied any wrongdoing by the actor.   Police responded at around 11am to a 911 call inside an apartment in the Manhattan neighbourhood of Chelsea.   "The victim informed police she was assaulted. Officers placed the 33-year-old male into custody without incident.   "The victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was removed to an area hospital in stable condition," a spokesperson for the NYPD said in a statement.   He was no longer in police custody as of Saturday night, the NYPD spokesperson confirmed to The Associated Press. ...

One of the King's former horsemen is facing jail after being found guilty of raping three teenage trainee instructors at a top Scottish residential riding school. The real time update provided by Forbes on Friday, March 24, means Jay-Z is the 1,203rd wealthiest person in the world.     French business magnate Bernard Arnault, CEO of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, currently sits at No. 1 on that list with a reported valuation of $216.1 billion.    If Forbes' $2.5 billion estimation is accurate, JAY-Z’s net worth would have almost doubled since last year when it was reported he was worth $1.4 billion.   Jay-Z became Hip Hop’s first billionaire in 2019, thanks to his “expansive, encompassing liquor, art, real estate (homes in Los Angeles, the Hamptons, Tribeca) and stakes in companies like Uber.  

  Wayne Swinny, one of the founding members of the hard rock band Saliva, has died after suffering a brain hemorrhage.   The guitarist was 59 at the time of his death on Wednesday, March 22.   The band's representative told TMZ: 'It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Wayne Swinny, the guitarist of Saliva. Wayne passed away this afternoon from a spontaneous brain hemorrhage while on tour.'   Just hours earlier, the band had shared that Swinny was in the hospital's ICU following a medical emergency. Bobby Amaru, the current lead singer for Saliva, also shared his memories of his fallen comrade.   'I’m not even sure what to think or how to feel right now. Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine has reportedly been locked away in a room for safety after being savagely beaten in a gym sauna.  Sources told TMZ he would have   faced an even more brutal beatdown if it weren't for the quick-thinking gym staff that rushed in to get him to safety after he was ambushed in a sauna.   It was also learnt that he frequented the gym in the past without any issues. He's normally in there for about 20 minutes and sticks to the StairMaster, minding his business.   Sources told the publication that if Tekashi is ever approached or recognized, most of the interactions are peaceful and he's usually accommodating and willing to pose with fans.   Despite snitching on his gang members to get released early in a federal case, the consensus thus far is that he did nothing wrong and didn't deserve the attack.
