  Canadian rapper, Drake has been ordered to give a deposition or make an appearance in court later this month for the XXXTentacion murder trial.   Mauricio Padilla, defense attorney for Dedrick Williams, one of three suspects on trial attempted to subpoena Drake late last month. Per  Rolling Stone , Padilla claims the  Her Loss  artist was in fact served properly but was a no-show.   The move to involve Drake stems from an Instagram Stories post where XXXTentacion wrote in all caps,If anyone tries to kill me it was @champagnepapi. Im snitching rn.   The Florida rapper then claimed he was hacked. American singer, Trey Songz has reportedly been hit with a new $25 million lawsuit stemming from a previous sexual assault accusation.    The suit also names the R&B singer's label Atlantic Records, manager Kevin Liles, and 300 Entertainment as defendants, claiming the parties should be held responsible for the singer's actions.    The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles on Thursday, is linked to a sexual battery lawsuit filed by a Jane Doe last February against the 38-year-old (real name Tremaine Neverson) over claims he sodomized the woman during a party in March 2016.    In a statement given to  Rolling Stone , Doe's attorney George Vrabeck calls out Atlantic Records, which signed Neverson in the early 2000s, as well as Neverson's manager Liles and 300, the label he co-founded, for effectively turning a blind eye to the growing number of accusations against the singer throughout the years.   This case is much more than about one sin...

An elementary school principal and a gym teacher from Georgia, USA who engaged in a years-long affair have both been fired after allegedly having sex on school grounds. Some of the sexcapades between Banks County Elementary School Principal Dana Simmons, who is married, and physical education teacher Dylan Charles were even caught on camera by Charles wife, WSB-TV reported, citing an internal report that was conducted by an external firm.   The school affair came to light after Simmons accused Charles of accessing secret school district information either by bugging her office or having a source inside the county's school board, the report issued at the end of January 2023 states.   After that issue was settled, Charles looked for district officials and admitted to having an affair with Simmons and said they even had sex at the elementary school, as well as off-campus, the report states. Defense attorneys representing three men accused of murdering XXXTentacion have suggested that Canadian rapper Drake might be linked to the 2018 killing, on the opening day of the trial. XXXTentacion, whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy, was shot and killed on June 18, 2018, aged 20, after he was ambushed during an apparent robbery as he was leaving a motorsports store in Deerfield.   Michael Boatwright, 28, is accused of being the shooter, while his friend, Trayon Newsome, 24, is accused of being the other gunman. Dedrick Williams, 26, is accused of being the driver. They could all receive life sentences if convicted of first-degree murder. A fourth man who prosecutors say was in the SUV, 26-year-old Robert Allen, pleaded guilty last year to second-degree murder and is set to testify against his former friends at the trial at the Broward County Courthouse in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.   The New York Post reports the defendants' defense team have argued investigators ...

The Church of England has announced it will look into the use of gender neutral terms to refer to God in prayers. According to the Church, the issue reflects growing global awareness about the assumed usage of pronouns causing offence or upset to those who do not identify with the gender they were assigned at birth. The centuries-old institution said on Wednesday, February 8 that there were no plans to abolish current services but that it will look into gender neutrality for God. "Christians have recognised since ancient times that God is neither male nor female," a spokesperson for the Church said.  "Yet the variety of ways of addressing and describing God found in scripture has not always been reflected in our worship." He added that there were "absolutely no plans to abolish or substantially revise" authorised services and that no changes could be made without "extensive legislation". Turkish president Tayyip Erdogan has admitted there were problems with his government's initial response to a devastating earthquake on Monday in southern Turkey and Syria, that has killed over 12,000 people amid anger from those left destitute and frustrated over the slow arrival of rescue teams. Erdogan said on a visit to the disaster zone on Wednesday February 8 that operations were now working normally and promised no one would be left homeless.   Across a swathe of southern Turkey, people sought temporary shelter and food in freezing winter weather, and waited in anguish by piles of rubble where family and friends possibly still lie buried.     Many Turks have complained of a lack of equipment, expertise and support to rescue those trapped even as they constantly hear cries for help.
