The Deputy Commander Land Forces in Uganda, Major Gen Francis Takirwa has asked health workers to stop treating homosexuals in public health facilities.   Maj Gen Takirwa made the statement on Sunday, February 5, 2023, when the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) commissioned and handed over different projects to Mbarara District residents at the headquarters in Bwizibwera.     " Don't use our health facilities to treat homosexuals, someone comes with pampers leaking and wants treatment because he made a decision as if he didn't have brains.   LeBron James has become the NBA's all-time points record holder, after surpassing NBA legend, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's total of 38,387, 20 seasons on, from his debut. The points came on Tuesday night, February 8 for the LA Lakers against the Oklahoma City Thunder in a 130-133 defeat where he put up 38.  With a step back jump shot with 10.9 seconds left in the third quarter, James pushed his career total to 38,388 points and broke the record that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar held for almost four decades.   The 38-year-old had been nursing a sore ankle in the run-up to the game, an injury that he manages day to day.   A young tourist could face the death penalty after she allegedly attempted to smuggle drugs into Bali.   Brazilian national Manuela Vitoria de Araujo Farias, 19, claims she was tricked by a gang after three kilograms of cocaine were allegedly found in her luggage when she arrived on the popular Indonesian island last month.       Bali's firing squad could execute her if she is convicted of trafficking under Indonesia's strict anti-drug laws.   She was arrested at Bali International Airport on January 27, just days after a West Australian surfing and diving instructor who smuggled drugs hidden in his anus into Indonesia narrowly avoided the death penalty.   Farias' lawyer claims her client was tricked into cooperating after a gang who hired her told her she could pray for her mother's quick recovery at a temple in Indonesia.   Farias claims she only visited the island after hearing of temples where they pray for the sick, Bali Times repo...

Turkish second-division side, Yeni Matalyaspor have confirmed that goalkeeper Ahmet Eyup Turkaslan has passed away at the age of 28 after the country was hit with a 7.8-magnitude earthquake.   Turkey and Syria were both hit by the devastating earthquake on Sunday night, February 5, while families were still asleep.   Turkaslan was reported missing on Monday, and the club have now paid tribute to their goalkeeper after he was confirmed dead on Tuesday.     'Our goalkeeper, Ahmet Eyup Turkaslan, lost his life after being under the collapse of the earthquake. Rest in peace,' the club tweeted.   'We will not forget you, beautiful person.'      The natural disaster has caused tragedies across Turkey and Syria, with at least 5,100 killed and thousands more injured.   Tremors were also heard as far as Egypt, Lebanon, and the island of Cyprus. LaLiga has filed a formal complaint with a court in Mallorca afterReal Madrid superstar Vinicius Jnr was racially abused  The Brazilian attacker was once again targeted as TV cameras picked up a fan racially abusing him during Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Real Mallorca. It marks the sixth time that LaLiga has filed a legal complaint over racism aimed towards the Brazilian.  In a statement, LaLiga said: 'After analysing the images and audio recorded from a position near the stands at San Moix, LaLiga has passed all the information collected, together with the formal complaint, to the court in Palma de Mallorca, as well as to Real Mallorca, to allow them to take part in the proceedings.' It all started when Seun in a recent interview said the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is an opportunist and not the messiah'' Nigerians think he is.  His statement did not go well with Peter who is a staunch supporter of Mr. Obi.
