A Baltimore teen has been charged with murdering his 8-year-old brother with a shotgun he obtained by trading in a puppy, court documents stated.   Devin Wilson, 18, was arrested Tuesday, Jan. 17, on an arrest warrant charging him with first- and second-degree murder, assault and weapons counts in connection with the Dec. 30 killing of Dylan King.     Wilson was babysitting his four younger siblings, ranging in age from 2 to 8 years old, when he called his mother asking her to come home because Dylan had been shot, according to the charging documents cited by Fox 5 Baltimore.   When Wilson’s stepfather returned home, the teen allegedly claimed Dylan had accidentally shot himself in the head.     Police who responded to the family’s home in the 2100 block of Presbury Street found a neighbor performing CPR on the 8-year-old boy, who was later pronounced dead.     While at the scene, an officer reported hearing sobbing c...

Chelsea have agreed a £29m deal in principle with PSV Eindhoven to sign winger Noni Madueke. Winger Madueke, 20, will complete his move on Friday for the England U21 star. Madueke started his youth career at Crystal Palace before moving to Tottenham. He left Spurs in 2018 for PSV Eindhoven, establishing himself as a first-team regular in the 2020-21 campaign and scoring nine goals in 35 games last season. The deal will take Chelsea's spending in this window to £190m, having already spent £270m in the summer, and to £460m since Todd Boehly took over the club.   Madueke, who was born in London to parents of Nigerian origin, will become Chelsea's sixth signing of the January transfer window, following the arrivals of Mykhailo Mudryk, Joao Felix, Benoit Badiashile, David Datro Fofana, and Andrey Santos.

Iconic musician David Crosby has died at the age of 81.   The member of the bands the Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash died Thursday, Jan. 19 "after a long illness," his wife Jan Dance told Variety.   She said in a statement: "It is with great sadness after a long illness, that our beloved David (Croz) Crosby has passed away.     "He was lovingly surrounded by his wife and soulmate Jan and son Django. Although he is no longer here with us, his humanity and kind soul will continue to guide and inspire us.   "His legacy will continue to live on through his legendary music. Peace, love, and harmony to all who knew David and those he touched. We will miss him dearly.   "At this time, we respectfully and kindly ask for privacy as we grieve and try to deal with our profound loss. Netflix co-founder, Reed Hastings announced he is stepping down as co-chief executive of the company on Thursday, Jan. 19.   Hastings, 62, who co-founded the company in 1997 when Netflix delivered its subscribers movies on DVDs sent in the mail, will now become chairman.   Greg Peters, the company’s chief product and chief operating officer, will join Ted Sarandos, chief content officer, as a co-chief executive.   Sarandos was elevated to co-CEO in July 2020.   Announcing his resignation, Hastings said in a statement: "In the last two and a half years, I’ve increasingly delegated the management of Netflix to them."   He noted that Sarandos and Peters had dealt with the challenges of the pandemic and upheavals in the streaming industry.   "It was a baptism by fire, given Covid and recent challenges within our business," Hastings wrote.   "But they’ve both managed incredibly well, ensuring Netflix continues to improve and develo...

A small single-engine plane crashed in New York City on Thursday, Jan. 19, killing both people on board, officials said.    The Beechcraft A36 was on its way to Cuyahoga County Airport in Ohio from JFK Airport when it went down around 6:15 p.m. after the pilot reported engine trouble about one mile from Westchester County Airport in White Plains, the Federal Aviation Administration said. Westchester’s airport is roughly a 40-mile drive to JFK Airport.  The plane was found hours later in the trees near Rye Lake, according to Westchester County officials.   Both passengers were found dead inside the wreckage. Their identities have not yet been released.   The owner of the plane, a business owner from Ohio, told CBS2 that the two people aboard were experienced pilots from the Cleveland area.   The plane’s owner also told the news outlet he was devastated by the crash.   The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board will...

UK's Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has been forced to apologize after being spotted not wearing seatbelt in a moving car in a viral video.  Mr Sunak uploaded the video, understood to have been filmed in Lancashire, to his official Instagram account, which has 1.3million followers. It was clear that the car was moving in the video and a seatbelt can be seen behind the Prime Minister, not secured over his shoulder. Lancashire Police confirmed it was "looking into" the possibility an offence was committed. Passengers who ride without belts can receive fines of £100. The embarrassing police probe comes just nine months after the PM was stung by the Met for breaking lockdown rules along with Boris Johnson.   An interim order of forfeiture issued on properties belonging to Ike Ekweremadu, former deputy senate president, has been vacated by a federal high court sitting in Abuja.  Ruling on the case on Friday, January 20, the presiding judge, Inyang Ekwo said the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) concealed facts when it applied for an interim forfeiture of the assets. Inyang further stated that the application for forfeiture filed by the EFCC was not brought in good faith and ought to be struck out.
