  The husband of the Tennessee police officer fired for having sex with six of her co-workers is standing by his wife.   Officer Maegan Hall of the La Vergne, Tennessee police department, was fired after allegations emerged she engaged in sex with coworkers, sent them nude pictures, took off her top at a hot tub party, and performed oral sex on two fellow officers while on duty.   Despite the scandal, her husband Jedidiah Hall is standing by her, Dailymail reports.   "I don’t know how he’s doing it, he’s more of a man than I am, but he’s trying to salvage his marriage," Jedidiah Hall’s boss, Coffee County Sheriff Chad Partin, told the outlet.   The sex romp led to the firings of Sgt. Lewis Powell, Officer Juan Lugo, Sgt. Chrissy Teigen has welcomed her new baby with her husband John Legend. Legend confirmed the joyous news during a private concert on Friday night, January 13. People reported that he told concert-goers that Chrissy Teigen gave birth to their newborn on Friday, January 13th.   The singer told the crowd;    "We welcomed the little baby this morning. "What a blessed day."    The doting dad admitted that he "didn't get a lot of sleep" but "feels energized" following the birth of their baby. Legend said he spent a lot of time at the hospital before his concert.   This is coming almost three years after the couple lost their third child, a baby boy they had named Jack, 20 weeks into Teigen's pregnancy.  Chrissy and John are also parents to son Miles Theodore (4) and daughter Luna Simone (6).

Lisa Marie Presley has died at a Los Angeles hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest on Thursday January 12.  She was 54. The daughter of Elvis Presley collapsed in her Calabasas, Los Angeles home after her heart stopped suddenly on Thursday morning. According to an earlier report by TMZ, Presley initially regained a pulse after first responders performed CPR, and her ex-husband Danny Keough reportedly administered CPR until medical professionals took over. She suffered a “full arrest” and was given epinephrine. “My beloved daughter Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital,” Priscilla Presley wrote on Instagram.  “She is now receiving the best care. The Jersey City Medical Center in the United States, has announced Ijeoma Akunyili as the new Chief Medical Officer of the heath facility.  Ijeoma is the first daughter of the late Dora Akunyili, former director-general of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and ex-minister of information.   The medical center made the announcement in a statement on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, adding that Dr. Akunyili is its first Black Chief Medical Officer. "Jersey City, NJ – Jersey City Medical Center, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, announced the appointment of Ije Akunyili, MD, MBA, MPA, as the new Chief Medical Officer effective January 2, 2023.   A Nigerian care home worker, Abiola Akinremi, 41, has been sentenced to seven months in jail by a UK court for stealing almost from the savings of vulnerable residents. The mother of three was arraigned before the court for using her position as an administrator at the facility, Bostall House in Abbey Wood, southeast London, to make dozens of unauthorized withdrawals from the bank accounts of patients. FIFA have announced 14 men's nominees for The Best 2022 World Player of the Year Award with Cristiano Ronaldo missing on the list.  The award recognizes the best footballer of the calendar year 2022, and Lionel Messi heads a 14-man shortlist for the Best FIFA Men's player award after leading Argentina to World Cup glory last month. Messi will have an edge to win the award, having scored seven goals in games in Qatar to finally win the World Cup. He was also given the Golden Ball after being deemed the best player at the tournament.
