  The Atlas Lions of Morocco stunned Belgium on Sunday afternoon, November 27 with two second-half goals to pick their first victory in the FIFA world cup in 24 years. It was Morocco's first win in Qatar 2022 and their second clean sheet in the competition.   Belgium were the overwhelming favourite for victory over Morocco, based on their past records in World Cup group-stage matches. However, that wasn’t the case in Sunday’s tie as Belgium players were subdued by two second-half goals from substitute players, Abdelhamid Sabiri and Zakaria Abdoukhal. The Atlas Lions, before Sunday, last tasted victory at the France 1998 World Cup when they trounced Scotland 3-0. The Foreign Minister of Belarus Vladimir Makei has died at the age of 64, the country’s foreign ministry reported on Saturday, November 26. “Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, has suddenly passed away today,” the Foreign Ministry said in its official Facebook account, without providing  details about the circumstances surrounding the foreign minister’s death. Makei was born in 1958 in the Belarusian region of Grodno. He had been in the post since August 2012, according the foreign ministry’s website. Before his death, Makei was scheduled to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Monday, according to Russian state media outlet RIA Novosti. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on Saturday expressed his condolences to the family and friends of Makei. Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been offered a bumper three-year contract in Saudi Arabia.   The 37-year-old Portuguese star had his Manchester United contract terminated earlier this month after his controversial statements in a TV interview with Piers Morgan.   Saudi Arabian giants Al Nassr have offered a contract worth £186million over three years to the iconic Portuguese striker, according to a report from CBS Sports.   The monstrous contract is said to be on the table in order to entice Ronaldo to make the switch to the Middle East, but the player is still evaluating the options available to him in Europe.  Al-Nassr are one of the most successful clubs in Saudi Arabia, having being crowned winners of the country's top flight nine times, with their most recent triumph coming in 2019.

A 22 year old Elderly dog has been recognized by Guinness book of records as the world’s oldest living dog. The dog's owner Alex Wolf, from Colorado, USA got him from a rescue shelter in 2002, over 20 years ago, but he was born two years earlier than this, on September 24, 2000.  Alex, who is now aged 40, says he got him when he was in university in California.   Speaking to Today, Alex said; ‘He’s been there every step of the way. ‘I’m so glad we got him. He’s the best. ‘If we were having a later night, he would stay up, and if I was sleeping in, he would sleep in. He was one of the guys.’   Asked what he thought was the secret to his longevity, he said: ‘I give him all the credit. He’s gotten a lot of love, and I think he’s just a strong dog. He’s been there every step of the way. I’m so glad we got him.   Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney has said he is 'not surprised' that Cristiano Ronaldo was sacked by the club and believes the club had 'no other choice' than to let him go.   Ronaldo's exit from Old Trafford was finally confirmed on Tuesday night November 23, after his bombshell interview with Piers Morgan, in which he slammed the club, its owners, his manager, and his team-mates.   United released a statement announcing his exit, with the player not expected to receive any compensation for the remainder of the seven months on his contract - which was worth £500,000-a-week.   Rooney - who played in attack alongside Ronaldo for five years, admitted that Ronaldo had been a 'fantastic servant' to the club but added that United had little choice other than to show him the door.     'Am I surprised?   A man identified as Muhammed Abubakar was arraigned before a Chief Magistrate Court in Girei, Adamawa State for dressing as a woman and making money from unsuspecting men.   The suspect man said he routinely dressed in women's clothes and go out with female friends to obtain money from men needing romance.   Muhammed who holds a Diploma in Business Management from the Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola, said his female collaborators gave him between N500 and N1,500 daily as his share of their loot.   Muhammed, who said he adopted the female name of Fadi, told the court that his female accomplices protected him each time any man wanted to have him, by telling the man that she (he) was ''menstruating.''   It was gathered that nemesis caught up with Muhammed on November 16, 2022, at Girei market where he went to buy an ear ring and was seen by a man who suspected that he was a man.   The suspicious man raised the alarm and he was arreste...
