Former US President Donald Trump’s Twitter account has been reinstated on the platform. The account, which Twitter banned following the January 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, was restored after Twitter CEO and new owner Elon Musk posted a poll on Twitter on Friday night, November 18 asking the platform’s users if Trump should be reinstated.  “The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated,” Musk tweeted Saturday night. “Vox Populi, Vox Dei,” Latin for “the voice of the people is the voice of God.” The final poll results on Saturday night showed 51.8% in favor and 48.2% opposed. The poll included 15 million votes.  The much-anticipated decision from Musk sets the stage for the former president’s return to the social media platform where he was previously its most influential, and most controversial user. Current Ballon d'Or champion, Karim Benzema has been ruled out of the World Cup after suffering an injury in training.    The Real Madrid striker's first full training session ended his World Cup dreams after he suffered an injury on Saturday November 19.   He was then brought in for a scan in Doha, which later confirmed a femoral rectus injury that will keep the 34-year-old out for three weeks.   A statement by the French national team on their social media accounts said: 'Karim Benzema is forced to give up participating in the World Cup.   'The whole team shares Karim's sadness and wishes him a speedy recovery.'   This is the latest setback for France who have already had prolific RB Leipzig striker Christopher Nkunku ruled out after an injury in training.   The likes of Paul Pogba, N'Golo Kante, Presnel Kimpembe and goalkeeper Mike Maignan were all unavailable for selection due to their own injuries.

  Republicans have won majority in the U.S. House of Representatives, setting the stage for two years of divided government as President Joe Biden's Democratic Party held control of the Senate. The victory gives Republicans the power to delay or deny Biden's agenda, as well as to launch potentially politically damaging probes of his administration and family.  The final call vote on Wednesday, November 16 after more than a week of ballot counting, with media projections showing Republicans had won the 218 seats they needed to control the House.  The party's current House leader, Kevin McCarthy, may have a challenging road ahead as he will need his caucus to hold together on critical votes, including funding the government and military at a time when former President Donald Trump has launched another run for the White House. Blueface found himself standing before the judge on Wednesday November 16, as he was arraigned and had bail set for an alleged attempted murder.   The American rapper had bail set at $50,000 which the judge expects Blueface to clear with no issue. He also handed down a series of bail conditions that Blueface will have to follow or otherwise be subjected to police custody again.  The artist, whose real name is Johnathan Porter, was booked into the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas, according to a statement from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.   The 25-year-old was arrested on “warrants for attempted murder with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm at/into an occupied structure” related to a shooting on October 8, police said in the statement.   A video of Blueface leaving Euphoric Gentlemen’s Club in Las Vegas before shots rang off made its rounds online.    The alleged victim says he recognized Blueface in t...

Norway manager, Stale Solbakken has criticized world football governing body, FIFA for awarding the 2022 FIFA world cup to Qatar.   Solbakken said that "Fifa has the biggest failing" and made "the biggest mistake" when Qatar was controversially named as host nation in 2010 saying the "world was asleep" when Qatar was awarded the tournament   Qatar has been criticized for its stance on same-sex relationships, human rights and treatment of migrant workers before the tournament.   Speaking before Thursday's friendly between Norway and the Republic of Ireland in Dublin, Solbakken said;  "The first years after it was given to Qatar, I think the whole world was more or less asleep," he said.  "I think it's only in the last years that it's suddenly, 'Oh, the World Cup in Qatar'.
