FIFA have warned Tunisia that they are at risk of being expelled from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar if the country's government interferes in football matters.   The warning from the world governing body comes after several comments from Tunisia's Youth and Sports Minister, Kamel Deguiche about the possibility of 'dissolving federal bureaux', according to BBC Sport.   Member federations within FIFA are required to operate without any legal and political interference.   FIFA considers the statements of Deguiche as attempts to get involved in the running of the Tunisian football federation (FTF) and has asked the federation for clarity about attempts to interfere in its internal affairs, along with the warning about dissolving its office.   FIFA have also reminded the FTF that its member associations are 'legally obligated to conduct their affairs independently and without undue influence from third parties'.    'Any failure to comply w...

Will Smith has opened up about the days after he slapped Chris Rock at the Oscars. The actor went up on stage at the 2022 Oscars and slapped the host Chris Rock for making a tasteless joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. In the days following the slap, Will was in a dark place and the actor says Floyd Mayweather called him every day for 10 straight days after the incident, just to make sure he was doing okay. Smith made the revelation during a private screening of his new "Emancipation" movie at The London hotel. With Floyd in attendance, Will took a moment to praise the professional boxer for being there for him, even though they weren't exactly best friends at the time. A Pennsylvania man is facing felony charges for allegedly beating, choking and burying his 6-year-old daughter in the yard because he thought she was lying, police said. The girl told investigators her dad, John Kraft, 50, often hit her with a belt and with his arm, which has a metal rod from a surgery, KDKA reported, citing a police report. She said he buried her in a hole in the yard and left her there overnight.   "The allegations are that this child was beaten brutally, that the child had bruises all over her body, that she was choked to the point that she had passed out," Greene County District Attorney David Russo said.   Social workers in September found severe bruising on the girl’s face and body.   Two weeks ago, police interviewed the child and a sibling, who told them Kraft allegedly buried the girl in a hole in the yard.     The girl said her dad would leave her in the yard "until she told the truth and that she would come ...

American singer Rihanna took to Instagram to leave a heartwarming comment on a post by Nigerian singer Tems. Tems co-wrote Rihanna's new single "Lift Me Up" for the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Tems took to Instagram today to share the cover design for Lift Me Up then revealed she is blessed to have written the song in honor of Chadwick Boseman.   A death row inmate,  Henry Hodges severed his penis in his prison cell and asked to be placed on suicide watch. Hodges, who was sentenced to death in 1992 for murdering a telephone repairman, began smearing feces in his cell because he was upset that officials wouldn’t let him have a special food package he ordered, his lawyer Kelley Henry said.  In addition to receiving the death penalty for murdering Bassett in 1990, Hodges was sentenced to 40 years in prison for robbing the repairman. Hodges was also found guilty of killing a North Carolina chemical engineer at a hotel in Atlanta after murdering Bassett.   Hodges was denied the food package because he had clear conduct for five months instead of the six required, Henry said.  According to the lawyer who visited him at the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution in Nashville, a guard stopped feeding Hodges to curb him from continuing to smear feces but Hodges responded by slitting his wrists ...

Barely 48 hours after its embassy in Nigeria issued a security alert of a possible terrorist attack in Nigeria, especially Abuja, the United States government  (US) has authorized the evacuation of “non-emergency” employees and their family members in Nigeria.   The US state department announced the approval in an update on its Nigeria travel advisory on Tuesday evening, October 25.   The update noted that the US embassy in Abuja will have “limited ability” to provide emergency assistance to US citizens while the consulate in Lagos is still providing routine and emergency services.   “On October 25, 2022, the Department authorized the departure of non-emergency U.S. government employees and family members due to the heightened risk of terrorist attacks. NFL star, Antonio Brown has defended Kanye West over his anti-Semitic comments while explaining his decision to remain as president of Donda Sports, citing his "dedication to freedom of speech, thought, and opinion."   West has recently found himself at the center of public scrutiny for anti-semitic comments against the Jews over the past few weeks.   Several brands have cut ties with West following his recent anti-semitic comments, including Adidas.
