A Pennsylvania man is facing felony charges for allegedly beating, choking and burying his 6-year-old daughter in the yard because he thought she was lying, police said. The girl told investigators her dad, John Kraft, 50, often hit her with a belt and with his arm, which has a metal rod from a surgery, KDKA reported, citing a police report. She said he buried her in a hole in the yard and left her there overnight.   "The allegations are that this child was beaten brutally, that the child had bruises all over her body, that she was choked to the point that she had passed out," Greene County District Attorney David Russo said.   Social workers in September found severe bruising on the girl’s face and body.   Two weeks ago, police interviewed the child and a sibling, who told them Kraft allegedly buried the girl in a hole in the yard.     The girl said her dad would leave her in the yard "until she told the truth and that she would come ...

American singer Rihanna took to Instagram to leave a heartwarming comment on a post by Nigerian singer Tems. Tems co-wrote Rihanna's new single "Lift Me Up" for the movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Tems took to Instagram today to share the cover design for Lift Me Up then revealed she is blessed to have written the song in honor of Chadwick Boseman.   A death row inmate,  Henry Hodges severed his penis in his prison cell and asked to be placed on suicide watch. Hodges, who was sentenced to death in 1992 for murdering a telephone repairman, began smearing feces in his cell because he was upset that officials wouldn’t let him have a special food package he ordered, his lawyer Kelley Henry said.  In addition to receiving the death penalty for murdering Bassett in 1990, Hodges was sentenced to 40 years in prison for robbing the repairman. Hodges was also found guilty of killing a North Carolina chemical engineer at a hotel in Atlanta after murdering Bassett.   Hodges was denied the food package because he had clear conduct for five months instead of the six required, Henry said.  According to the lawyer who visited him at the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution in Nashville, a guard stopped feeding Hodges to curb him from continuing to smear feces but Hodges responded by slitting his wrists ...

Barely 48 hours after its embassy in Nigeria issued a security alert of a possible terrorist attack in Nigeria, especially Abuja, the United States government  (US) has authorized the evacuation of “non-emergency” employees and their family members in Nigeria.   The US state department announced the approval in an update on its Nigeria travel advisory on Tuesday evening, October 25.   The update noted that the US embassy in Abuja will have “limited ability” to provide emergency assistance to US citizens while the consulate in Lagos is still providing routine and emergency services.   “On October 25, 2022, the Department authorized the departure of non-emergency U.S. government employees and family members due to the heightened risk of terrorist attacks. NFL star, Antonio Brown has defended Kanye West over his anti-Semitic comments while explaining his decision to remain as president of Donda Sports, citing his "dedication to freedom of speech, thought, and opinion."   West has recently found himself at the center of public scrutiny for anti-semitic comments against the Jews over the past few weeks.   Several brands have cut ties with West following his recent anti-semitic comments, including Adidas. Former Super Eagles captain, Mikel Obi, has revealed how scared he was playing under top coach, Jose Mourinho during his time at Chelsea.  Mikel, who retired from football at 35 in September was signed by the Portuguese manager in 2016.   According to him, Mourinho’s methods of getting his message across to players in the dressing room was scary to him.   The teenager who killed two people at his St. Louis high school was pictured in a yearbook photo.   The picture of Orlando Harris, 19, was confirmed by police on Tuesday, October 25, a day after he carried out the deadly shooting at Central Visual and Performing Arts High School.   The 19-year-old who gunned down a fellow student and gym teacher, wore a white hoodie and a black jacket in the photo that was widely shared on the internet before authorities confirmed it was Harris.   Details of a chilling note written by Harris where he called his life a "perfect storm for a mass shooter," has been released.   The note was left in Harris’ car before he stormed the high school with an AR-15-style rifle and more than 600 rounds of ammunition.
