Veteran rapper, Fat Joe has said that he won't be changing his stage name even after losing over 100lbs in the last decade.   The 52-year-old, who used to weigh over 400lbs and suffered from diabetes, embarked on a bid to get fit after his overweight friends began dying young.      Fat Joe told Page Six;     'As a business I spent so many millions and millions of dollars marketing Fat Joe that it wouldn’t be smart to change my name now.'    'I grew up in the projects where there was no filter,' said the hitmaker, whose original stage name was Fat Joe Da Gangsta.   He added;    'When the teacher would, say, write something on the chalkboard I was always big so the crack of [my butt] would show. Not less than 28 people have been killed after a former police officer opened fire at a pre-school child daycare centre in Thailand. According to Reuters, the gunman is still at large after the attack in Nong Bua Lamphu, the north-eastern part of the country.   Police say the attacker shot and stabbed children and adults and is now on the run.    The gunman Panya Kamrab was sacked from the force last year, Thai PBS reported. He had stormed the centre armed with a gun and a knife.   A local police colonel, Jakkapat Vijitraithaya was quoted as saying Kamrab had been dismissed for drug use.   A motive for the attack is unclear as of the time of filing this report.

  19 Resident Electoral Commissioners of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have been confirmed by the senate.   Their nomination was confirmed on Wednesday October 5, following consideration of reports of the Senate Committees on Electoral Matters.   The committee’s chairman, Kabiru Gaya (APC, Kano), in his report, said the nominees were quizzed on partisanship and membership of political parties.   Gaya who maintained that the nominees are not registered members of any political party, said the committee found no merit in the petitions against four nominees that bordered on alleged membership of political parties, partisanship, compromise and incompetence.  Those confirmed are Ibrahim Abdullahi (from Adamawa), Obo Effanga (Cross River), Umar Ibrahim (Taraba), Agboke Olaleke (Ogun), Samuel Egwu (Kogi), Onyeka Ugochi (Imo), Muhammed Bashir (Sokoto), Ayobami Salami (Oyo), Zango Abdu (Katsina), Queen Elizabe...

Catholic Archbishop Emeritus of Abuja, His Eminence, Cardinal John Onaiyekan has shared his thoughts on the same faith presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress.    Speaking at the 1st synod of the Catholic Diocese of Osogbo, held in Ede, Osun state on Wednesday October 5, Onaiyekan said the same faith ticket is a political decision based on a calculation to win votes. Kanye West has hit back at Khloé Kardashian after she called him out for attacking the Kardashians.   Kanye took to Instagram to ask critics of his "White Lives Matter" t-shirt why they were silent when the Kardashians prevented him from seeing his kids.   Khloe hit back and asked Kanye to stop attacking Kim and the Kardashians. Khloe told Kanye that he knows where his kids are at all times and he should stop soiling her family's name when he wants to deflect.   Kanye has now responded to Khloe. He called her a liar and insisted the Kardashians "kidnapped his kids.   See below.    

Four Russian fighter jets have reportedly been intercepted and forced to return to base after they infringed on Polish air space.   Aeronautica Militare announced that the squadron took off from the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, sandwiched between Poland and Lithuania, and flew an aggressive path which took them through Polish skies though the post did not specify when the infringement occurred.   The offending jets then continued over the Baltic Sea before heading towards Sweden.     Italy quickly scrambled four Eurofighter Typhoon jets in response which took off from Poland's Malbork air base and intercepted the Russian aircraft, 'forcing' them to return back to Kaliningrad.      The air force said the Russian jets also infringed on Swedish air space, but this claim was denied by the Swedish Armed Forces' press service which said Putin's aircraft were merely over international waters.   Rome's planes were stat...
