Donald Trump will reportedly not be invited to the Queen's funeral next week.    According to Mail Online, the former US president is not expected to be among the mourners at next Monday's service with numbers limited due to one representative per country and their significant other.   Only current heads of state and their spouses or partners will be invited, meaning Joe and Jill Biden will be among those paying their respects in Westminster Abbey.   The Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) said the abbey will be so packed that it would be impossible to offer more invitations, according to documents seen by Politico.  The guidelines sent to embassies on Saturday night said the department 'regrets that, because of limited space at the state funeral service and associated events, no other members of the principal guest's family, staff or entourage may be admitted.'   Heads of state th...

A court has adjourned the case between the federal government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) till September 16.  Earlier, the Federal Government approached the National Industrial Court (NICN) sitting in Abuja, requesting an order for the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to resume while the issue that led to them embarking on a strike are being addressed.  Ruling on the case on Monday September 12, Justice Polycap Hamman adjourned the matter to enable both the Federal Government to file the necessary papers for the suit.

  French President, Emmanuel Macron has reiterated his demand for a ceasefire in Ukraine and Russian withdrawal from the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant during a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Elysee Palace said Sunday. New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has announced that her government will not pursue becoming a republic following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.      Under New Zealand's constitutional arrangements, the Queen was also New Zealand's monarch and head of state until her death last Thursday, September 8.    There were suspicions the island nation could seek to break out from Britain following the Queen's passing, but speaking this morning, Ardern expressed her deep admiration for the Queen as New Zealand's head of state and instead declared the nation would observe a public holiday on September 26 to honour her passing.   'This, I hope, will be a chance to acknowledge a lifetime of service to New Zealand by Queen Elizabeth II,' Ardern told reporters in Wellington.   'We need to acknowledge here (that) this is a one-in-70-year event.
