Germany has officially confiscated the world's largest superyacht owned by Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov, as part of sanctions against Moscow following the outbreak of war in Ukraine.   The 156-metre (1,680-feet) long "Dilbar" has an estimated value of $600 million ((555 million euros) according to Forbes magazine.     Since last October the boat has been docked for repairs in a Hamburg shipyard, rfi reported. German customs had been planning to seize the superyacht for several weeks, but could not due to a legal imbroglio over its ownership. Eventually, the German Federal Judicial Police indicated that they had succeeded "after lengthy investigations, and in spite of concealment via offshore companies, in identifying the owner of the M/S Dilbar and it is Gulbakhor Ismailova, the sister of Alisher Usmanov".   A man who defiled his neighbour’s 6-year- old daughter has been sentenced to life imprisonment in Kenya.  Wilson Motunde Enima, 75, was handed the penalty by senior principal magistrate Esther Bhoke at the Kibera law court in Nairobi after he was convicted for the offence on Thursday, April 14.  Enima defiled the minor inside his house as her mother washed clothes outside on May 2017, in Lindi, Kibera.  The child had gone to play inside Enima’s house shortly after arriving home from school. She stayed at the house for about 30 minutes. Her mother got concerned and peeped into Enima’s house and where she saw him standing beside the child. The girl then came out of the house. The minor at first denied anything had happened to her when her mother enquired about what she was doing with Enima in the house.  The victim’s mother went with her to her mother-in-law and reported what had happened and asked her to check whether the minor was okay. World's richest man, Elon Musk has been displaced as the largest shareholder in Twitter by Vanguard Group, an asset manager.    On Thursday April 14, Vanguard Group increased its stake of 8.4 percent (67.2 million shares) in Twitter to 10.3 percent (82.4 million shares), according to documents sent to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on April 8.   This is higher than the 9.1 percent (73.1 million shares) stake Musk bought on March 14, with Vanguard Group’s total investment value worth $3.71 billion, against Musk’s $3.29 billion, when their stake is pegged to Twitter’s market share value.   The investment has set the stage for an ownership battle between the institutional investor and individual investor, considering Musk had launched a bid to buy Twitter. Burnley have sacked manager Sean Dyche after 10 years at Turf Moor. Dyche leaves the Clarets with the club down in 18th place in the Premier League table, four points behind Everton with both having eight matches left to play. He joined in October 2012 following a year in charge of Watford and earned two promotions to the Premier League, where Burnley have been a staple presence since 2016. The Clarets lost 2-0 at Norwich on Sunday in a damaging result for their survival hopes, with 17th placed Everton beating Manchester United a day earlier. Haryana Police has arrested a Nigerian national wanted for allegedly smuggling 280 gram heroin worth over N1.2m.  The accused identified simply as Nnamdi was arrested from Delhi on Tuesday, April 12.  Fatehabad SP Surender Singh Bhoria said the Anti-Narcotic Cell had recently arrested two youths Sanjay and Akshay from Tohana town of Fatehabad and recovered 280 grams of heroin from their possession.  During interrogation, Akshay revealed that he had bought heroin from Nnamdi who was staying in Delhi. Following the information, a police team was sent to Delhi to arrest him. The accused was produced before a court which sent him to three-day police custody.

  Gunmen suspected to be assassins have killed an Ebonyi businessman, Issac Nnaemeka Chukwu, nine days to his wedding. Chukwu was shot dead by the assailants in front of his fiancé, Favour Chioma Nworie, in Abakaliki, on Monday, April 11.  The deceased, popularly known as Ochudo, from Ikwo Local Government Area of the state, and Chioma, were set to wed next week.  The traditional wedding was to take place on April 21 at his fiance’s father’s compound in Ikwo, while the church wedding was slated for April 23.   A relative who quoted the fiancee, said that Chukwu was shot at night after closing one of his shops as he made to enter his car.   “He has a shop at International Market where he deals on provision goods.
