Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has hit back at Cristiano Ronaldo's 'jealous' remark on Instagram. Rooney had earlier made a scathing attack on Ronaldo on Monday April 4, following the Red Devils'  1-1 draw against Leicester City at the weekend.  Asked on Sky Sports Monday Night Football if signing veteran Ronaldo, 37, has worked for United, Rooney said: 'You'd have to say no at the minute. 'I think he's scored goals, he's scored important goals in the Champions League early on in the season. He scored the hat-trick against Tottenham.  'But I think if you look to the future of the club you would have to go with younger, hungry players to do the best to lift Manchester United over these next two, three years.  On Wednesday, Rooney posted a photograph of himself in the Sky studio alongside Jamie Carragher and host presenter Dave Jones on Instagram.   The Weeknd has threatened to pull out of Coachella because his pay is less than Kanye West's expected paycheck. It was revealed on Wednesday, April 6, that The Weeknd and Swedish House Mafia were set to replace Kanye West, who recently dropped out of both of his Sunday headlining slots.   West was reportedly prepared to make $8 million, plus a $500,000 production fee if he played the festival.   A source told Page Six : "The Weeknd came in at short notice to take Kanye’s top spot. But Phil Anschutz [who owns the Coachella Festival through AEG Live] wanted to hold on to Kanye’s money and pay The Weeknd far less, just a few million.   A New York State judge committed suicide on Tuesday, April 5, less than two weeks after his home was searched by law enforcement authorities. Judge John L. Michalski, an acting justice of the State Supreme Court, was found dead at his home in Amherst, N.Y., shortly before noon, one of his lawyers, Terrence Connors, said.   "It’s difficult to explain what a tragedy this is," said Mr. Connors, a longtime friend of Justice Michalski’s, adding that "it would be difficult to find a judge who was more respected" in the Western New York legal community. Federal and state law enforcement officers had executed a search warrant at Justice Michalski's home 12 days before his death, against the backdrop of the federal prosecution of one of his former clients.   Michalski, 61, had been eyed by investigators for years, but no criminal charges were ever filed against him. A bicyclist who was killed by a New Jersey Transit train Monday night, April 4, has been identified as popular writer Eric Boehlert, founder and editor of Press Run.   His wife Tracy Breslin made the sad announcement.   Boehlert, 57, was a veteran writer and media analyst and a frequent television and radio guest discussing politics and the press on CNN and CNBC.   He was a founding editor of Salon magazine, a fellow with Media Matters, and a former writer with Rolling Stone and Billboard magazines.     He wrote two books, "Lapdogs: How the Press Rolled Over for Bush," and "Bloggers on the Bus."   Journalist Soledad O'Brien tweeted, "Just got crushing news from Tracy Breslin, wife of @EricBoehlert Has died in a bike accident, age 57. Manchester United are closing in on a deal to appoint Ajax’s Erik ten Hag their new manager.   According to Mail Online, talks have been held with the Dutch club to establish the terms for Ten Hag’s release as United take a significant step towards appointing the 52-year-old.   The discussions took place at the end of last week and indicate that United is now ready to press ahead with bringing in Ten Hag, whose Ajax contract expires at the end of next season.   The compensation payment for Ten Hag would be just over £1.6million — significantly less than Paris Saint-Germain’s demand to release the other main candidate for the role, Mauricio Pochettino.  Sportsmail exclusively revealed Ten Hag was a leading contender for the job in November, before breaking the news of his interview for the post last month.   United’s process to choose Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s permanent successor has been described as ‘advanced’, although club sources stress...

Canadian rapper Tory Lanez was taken into police custody on Tuesday, April 5, after a Los Angeles courtroom found he violated protective orders in Megan Thee Stallion's case.   Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was charged with assault after shooting the female rapper in the foot in 2020. He has since been prohibited from contacting her or discussing any details of the case with outside parties. Lanez was arrested and produced in a Los Angeles court on Tuesday April 5, for allegedly violating the order by sharing information about the case on social media.   During a court hearing Tuesday April 5, prosecutors said there was evidence that Lanez addressed Stallion directly on social media and disclosed DNA evidence to a third-party Twitter user. Musk's net worth is now $300 billion, according to Forbes' real time rankings of the world's wealthiest people on Tuesday, April 5.   Musk has more than a $100 billion lead over second place Jeff Bezos, the Amazon (AMZN) founder .
