Davido has featured in an official soundtrack for World Cup.  The Nigerian singer is part of a group of musicians who have put together the official soundtrack for the 2022 World Cup holding in Qatar. The song titled ‘Hayya Hayya’ (Better Together) also features American singers Trinidad Cardona and AISHA. His participation means he becomes the first Nigerian artiste to feature in an official FIFA World Cup final soundtrack. The award-winning artiste took to Twitter to make the announcement, tweeting, “I’m honored to be featured on the Official ?@FIFAWorldCup? 2022 Soundtrack ! See y’all later 2NITE ! This one is for Africa ! TULE!!!! WE RISE !”  

Russia has accused Ukraine of sending attack helicopters across the border to strike an oil storage facility in what would be the first raid on Russian soil since the outbreak of the war if confirmed. Ukraine has not confirmed that it launched the attack, raising questions about whether Russian negligence may be to blame. A Russian governor in the border region of Belgorod said that early on Friday April 1, two Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopters crossed the border at low altitude before firing rockets at an oil facility 25 miles from the border. Ukraine’s foreign minister, Dmytro Kuleba, said he could not confirm or deny reports of Ukrainian involvement in the strike as he did not have military information, Reuters reported. The Ukrainian defence ministry has not responded for a request for comment. Iranian media reported that women were once again denied entry to a football stadium to watch an international match, leaving hundreds of ticketed fans stranded. Iran won 2-0 against Lebanon in a World Cup qualifier on Tuesday night at the Imam Reza stadium in Mashhad, in the northeastern city. "About 2,000 Iranian women who had purchased tickets for the Iran-Lebanon match were present on the Imam Reza stadium's perimeter but were unable to enter the stadium," according to the ISNA news agency.   "A total of 12,500 tickets were sold for this match, with 2,000 reserved for women," it added.
