Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party and former Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority, Bode George has said that he will leave Nigeria if Bola Ahmed Tinubu becomes President of Nigeria. Speaking at a press briefing in Lagos on Saturday March 19, George claimed that Tinubu would ensure that his family members occupy sensitive positions if he becomes president, adding that the ex-governor has done nothing to deserve the seat.   He said;    “I am happy the president has signed the new electoral bill. Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel has reiterated his support for the crisis hit club saying he is ‘fully committed’ to Chelsea amid links to Manchester United . Following uncertainty over the future of Chelsea following UK sanctions on on the club's billionaire Russian owner Roman Abramovic , Tuchel has been linked with a move to rivals , Manchester United.  His former mentor Ralf Rangnick, who is the current United interim manager, will also play a role in determining who will be hired next, sparking the rumours  Tuchel has now responded. Unknown persons on Saturday March 19, allegedly set ablaze a filling station located in Agbura town in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. According to report, the owner was accused of selling illegally refined fuel to users.  

Finland has been named the world's happiest country for the fifth year running, in an annual UN-sponsored index that Afghanistan as the unhappiest. The latest list was completed before Russian tyrant Vladimir Putin ordered the invasion of Ukraine. In the list, Denmark is ranked second happiest followed by Iceland, Switzerland and Netherlands.  Jan-Emmanuel De Neve, a co-author of the index, said: 'This presents a stark reminder of the material and immaterial damage that war does to its many victims.' The World Happiness Report, now in its 10th year, is based on people's own assessment of their happiness, as well as economic and social data. It assigns a happiness score on a scale of zero to 10, based on an average of data over a three-year period.  

  Ukrainian actress Oksana Shvets has been killed in a Russian rocket attack on a residential building in Kyiv. The Young Theater — a Ukrainian theater troupe she had been part of since 1980 — announced the star’s death. In a statement shared on its Facebook page, the company expressed its “irreparable grief” at Shvets’ passing. “Honored Artist of Ukraine Oksana Shvets was killed during a rocket attack on a residential building in Kyiv,” the troupe wrote alongside a picture of the stage and screen veteran. The tribute, translated from Ukrainian, continued: “Bright memory to the talented actress! There is no forgiveness for the enemy that has come to our land!”  English-language publication Kyiv Post also reported her death, saying on Twitter that she was “murdered in Kyiv during the war.”  

Chelsea striker, Antonio Rudiger is reportedly set to leave the London club after agreeing on a four-year contract with Juventus worth £5.4m a season.  The 29-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, and the Blues cannot offer him an extension because of UK government sanctions placed on club owner Roman Abramovich. Prior to the sanction,  Rudiger had been rumoured to be considering a contract extension at the club where he has established himself as an exceptional talent since joining for £31million from Roma in 2017. Unknown gunmen attacked the country home of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Professor George Obiozor, in Awo-Omamma, Oru LGA, Imo State, in the early hours of today March 19. At least two buildings sitting on the property were affected by the fire. Obiozor was not at home when his house was attacked by the assailants.
