American actor, Alec Baldwin, discharged a prop gun on a movie set on Thursday, leading to the death of the film’s director of photography and injury of its director. A spokesman for the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office, Juan Rios, revealed that the cinematographer, 42-year-old Halyna Hutchins was killed, and the director, 48-year-old Joel Souza, was injured around 1.50pm. The 63-year-old actor was on the movie set of “Rust,” which was being filmed at Santa Fe County in New Mexico when the fatal accident happened, New York Times reported.   Rios stated that the shooting happened in the middle of the scene and the circumstances of the occurrence are under investigation. According to the official, the Sheriff’s Office was conducting interviews with the people present on the set to determine how the incident occured. “We’re trying to determine right now how and what type of projectile was used in the firearm,” he said. The Taliban executed a young woman and uploaded sickening photos of her beheaded body on social media, it has been claimed. Mahjabin Hakimi, a highly-rated player with the Kabul Municipality Volleyball Club, was slaughtered by jihadists, her former coach says. A former neurologist at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital in New York was arrested and federally indicted on charges he hooked chronically ill patients on addictive opioids and withheld them unless the women submitted to his abuse. When Ricardo Cruciani’s female patients refused to capitulate to his demands like rape, molestation, digital penetration, and watching him masturbate, the doctor denied them their pain medication prescriptions, according to Manhattan Federal Court indictment charges on Wednesday, October 20.   “Cruciani prescribed significant quantities of opioids to victims and required victims to return for in-person appointments or visits to obtain prescription refills,” the indictment says. Queen Elizabeth II was admitted in a hospital on Wednesday afternoon for tests and was discharged on Thursday October 21, Buckingham Palace confirms.    Royal doctors were said to have ensured that the 95-year-old sovereign was seen by specialists in London on Wednesday afternoon, a day after Buckingham Palace announced she would cancel a visit to Northern Ireland on the advice of her doctors. It is believed that her medical team acted out of caution to have her admitted.    The palace, which provided no further details on her condition or the nature of the tests, confirmed the hospital visit on Thursday evening, after a report about it appeared in The Sun, a British tabloid. A young female trader was allegedly raped and killed by unknown men in Makurdi, Benue State. Joy Onuh Ogochuckwu, a graduate of the Department of Mass Communication, Benue State University, Makurdi, was killed on Tuesday night. Joy, who markets clothes online, reportedly received a call on Tuesday night from someone posing as a customer and she went out shortly after to deliver clothes to the caller. Her body was found on Wednesday morning, October 20. Joy was killed one day before she was to leave for NYSC camp. Friends have taken to various social media platforms to mourn her.
