Newly elected Mayor of Johannesburg, Jolidee Matongo has died in a car accident which occurred on Saturday September 18.  The 46-year-old politician who was elected a month ago, was returning from   campaigning with South Africa’s president for   voter registration in Soweto township ahead of local elections, when the accident happened.  Local media reported that his vehicle collided with a van while trying to avoid a pedestrian who had run on to the road. The pedestrian and the other vehicle's driver also died, but Mr Matongo's two bodyguards are being treated in hospital for their injuries.     Commenting on his death, President Cyril Ramaphosa said;    “It is hard to comprehend this tragedy, given the vitality and passion with which Mayor Matongo interacted with me and residents of Soweto so shortly before his death.  “Nothing could prepare any of us for this sudden loss, which has deprived our nation’s economi...

Actress Amy Schumer has revealed she is recovering from surgery after having her appendix and uterus removed due to complications related to endometriosis. The 40-year-old comedian and actress who underwent IVF last year in a bid to conceive her second child, revealed her recent procedure in an Instagram video which was filmed by her husband, Chris Fischer.   Schumer said;    "So it's the morning after my surgery for endometriosis and my uterus is out. "The doctor found 30 spots of endometriosis that he removed. He removed my appendix because the endometriosis had attacked it. The Executive Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Rivers State, David Rogers Irimagha, is dead. The Nation reports that although the cause of his death is yet to be made public, their sources said that he died in his sleep. “He was found dead in his sleep this morning,” a source, who spoke in confidence, said, adding that the entire council had been thrown into mourning.   The deceased was among the second term elected chairmen inaugurated in April 2021 after the local government election in the state.

Hailey Bieber has reacted to rumor of her husband, Justin Bieber not treating her nicely.  While Justin has often gushed over his wife on social media, some fans have pointed to a video filmed in Las Vegas as evidence that he is unkind to Hailey. The video which was taken after Justin appeared on stage for a concert, showed the “Sorry” singer speaking passionately to his wife, which some interpreted as him yelling at her. One person who had allegedly witnessed the ordeal in person tweeted of the situation, tweeted at that time;     “I was right there walking behind him and he was not yelling at her.
