Tyson Fury has vowed to annihilate Anthony Joshua while offering a withering assessment of his heavyweight rival.  Fury sat down with former Manchester United defender Gary Neville as part of his Overlap series. Neville, who spoke to Joshua four weeks ago, showed Fury a clip of his interview with Joshua in which the Watford-born fighter claims it was his opposition that backed out of a heavyweight unification bout.      In the clip, Joshua says: 'It's not me, it's the other side that are letting it down.  'We had the deal in place, we were the ones who found the venue, we were the ones who took the offer to them and they bailed out on not only me but also the boxing world. I'll smoke that guy, I will.' A 64-year-old man, Ayotunde Taiwo, has been arrested by men of the Ogun state police command for allegedly defiling a 2 years old girl (name withheld). The suspect was arrested following a complaint lodged at Agbado divisional headquarters by the mother of the victim, who reported that at about 11am on Tuesday, September 7, she noticed that her daughter could not walk properly, and when she inspected her body, she saw blood gushing out of her private part.  The distraught mum said when she asked her daughter what happened to her, the little girl pointed to the house opposite their own house. On getting to the house, the suspect was allegedly met washing his blood-stained boxer short. Tiger King zookeeper, Erik Cowie has died at the age of 53. He found fame on the Netflix show Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness alongside Joe Exotic. It was reported the Netflix star was found “lying down face down” in bed on Friday in New York City.   News of his death hit headlines on Tuesday, September 7.  A law enforcement source told TMZ: “There’s nothing suspicious about the death at this point, and no drugs were found on the scene, though a toxicology test will likely still be performed.” The star worked as an animal caretaker who was responsible for looking after big cats at the zoo. Mr. Cowie continued to work at the zoo after Exotic was jailed for attempting to hire someone to kill rival Carole Baskin. The brother of former Liverpool and Stoke midfielder Charlie Adam is facing jail time after admitting to stealing £15,000 from his elderly grandfather. Grant Adam, 30, who is also a professional footballer who played for Rangers and Scotland Under 21s, embezzled thousands of pounds from Charles Adam while he had Power of attorney over his finances.  Adam, who now plays football for Lochee United in the sixth tier of Scottish football, admitted to the crime on Monday and now faces being sent to prison when his punishment is decided next month. The goalkeeper was in charge of his grandfather's affairs from October 2019 to January 2020, and has admitted to helping himself to money from the 78-year-old's Post Office account. He was originally charged with embezzling funds to the tune of £22,000 but his solicitor Jim Laverty put forward a guilty plea relating to the reduced sum of £15,000. Phil Jerrod, Stand-up comedian and TV writer for shows including  Mock the Week  and  The Now Show,   has died at the age of 42 from a rare cancer.  The stand-up comic passed away on Saturday with his wife, Beck, by his side, according to a statement from his agent.  Phil had been suffering with sarcoma, a rare form of cancer that affects bones and soft tissue.  The Brighton-based comedian had enjoyed a stand-up career that saw him support acts including Romesh Ranganathan, who described Jerrod as one of his best friends. “Phil Jerrod was one of my very best friends and I loved him dearly,” Ranganathan wrote in a tribute on Instagram. “He was a brilliant comic, but more importantly one of the kindest and loveliest men you could ever meet. “You would always feel better for having spent time with him. Justice Hannatu A.L Balogun of the Kaduna State High Court, Kaduna on Monday, September 6, 2021, convicted and sentenced one Innocent Arzuka to four months imprisonment on a four-count charge that bordered on cheating by impersonation. The convict was arrested in a sting operation following intelligence on his alleged involvement in cybercrime. Investigation revealed that he fraudulently hacked into the Facebook accounts of unsuspecting persons, and used the accounts, after editing them to suit his requirements, to prospect for would-be victims of his fraud schemes.
