Bill Cosby has vowed to fight a civil lawsuit from a woman who claims he sexually assaulted her at the Playboy Mansion in 1964 following his release from prison.  The 83-year-old American comedian/actor, recently had his conviction for sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004 overturned because a prosecutor promised him that he wouldn't be charged in 2005, which the court said led him to incriminate himself.  Dozens of more women have accused him of sexual assault and harassment but their claims were not criminally prosecuted because they fell outside of the statutes of limitations in the states where the offenses allegedly took place.  After he was freed last week, women's rights attorney Gloria Allred held a press conference with some of Cosby's accusers (she represents 33 of them) and said she would fight to hold him accountable by suing him in civil court.      Among the people, she is representing is Judi Huth. Police in Haiti last night shot dead four men suspected to have murdered the country's president. They also arrested two more men believed to have been involved in the killing of Jovenel Moïse, reports claim. Police chief Leon Charles said the suspected assassins were killed by officers and two others were arrested during an apparent hostage-taking situation, NPR reports. Three police officers held hostage were freed, Charles confirmed. One high-ranking Haitian government official said: "These were mercenaries". A video had emerged showing a series of cars rolling towards Jovenel Moïse's house as other armed gang members follow on foot. Paris Saint-Germain Football club of France have reportedly stepped up their interest in Paul Pogba with less than 12 months to run on his existing contract at Manchester United. Knowing that Manchester United may be forced to sell the ex-Juventus star this summer if fresh terms are not agreed with Pogba, PSG have now reportedly reached out to Pogba's representatives. PSG have been linked with Pogba and and according to French outlet RMC Sport, the 28-year-old is open to the idea of joining the Ligue 1 giants. It is claimed that PSG were previously discouraged from moving for Pogba due to United’s £150m valuation, but around a third of that fee may now be enough to land his signature. Pogba is currently enjoying a rest period after playing four times for France at Euro 2020, with Les Blues’ campaign ending prematurely at the last-16 stage.

  Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a popular politician in Bauchi State, Alhaji Uba Boris. It was gathered that Boris was accosted by the gunmen at the CBN roundabout close to the AA Rano filling station along the Federal Lowcost road at about 8 pm on Wednesday, July 7.  The kidnappers were said to have trailed him on two power bikes until they got to the Nassarawa gate where they stopped his car after firing rounds of gunshots to scare people away. According to an eyewitness, who spoke to Nigerian Tribune, the gunmen dragged the politician from from his car, bundled him into a waiting vehicle and drove off still firing shots into the air. The eyewitness added that at first the kidnappers drove along Nassarawa street but made a u-turn after sighting a Police patrol van ahead and then sped along the Federal Lowcost road. Suspected bandits have killed two officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) in Katsina state.  It was gathered that the officers identified as Umar Bagadaza Kankara and Lauwali Dutse, were killed in an ambush at Kadode check point in Jibia Local Govt Area of the state on Wednesday night, July 7.  A security source told The Guardian that NIS has a base at the village where the incident occurred, with the area seen as safe haven for many herdsmen and their animals. “The incident occurred at Kadobe village. Fulani herdsmen had brought their cattle there for pasture and for security, as Immigration has a base there,” the source said. “But the bandits decided to attack the place yesterday night after several efforts to do so in the past had proved abortive. “The sad thing is that people in the community said they saw strange faces lurking around in the evening of the incident, but they refused to alert the security on the situation. “When the bandits ...

Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that Sergio Ramos has joined the club from Real Madrid.    The 35 year-old Spanish defender will wear the number 4 shirt, the Ligue 1 side have revealed. It is reported to be a two year deal, but no news on the terms of the contract have been revealed.   The footballer has revealed his joy at the news. "I use the number 4 a lot out of superstition, because I had it from the start of my career, and then it has accompanied me throughout my life, continued me, brought good luck, and a lot of victories," he told 'PSGTV'.    "Now the number 4 is part of me as a person and as a professional. For me, it's a privilege to be able to wear this number at such a great team, Paris Saint-Germain.
