Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh has said he is open to coaching offers after three years of not having a job. Oliseh sensationally resigned from his post as Super Eagles coach in 2016 citing internal problems with the Nigeria Football Federation and a high profile fall out with then Super Eagles skipper Vincent Enyeama. He then proceeded to coach Dutch club, Fortuna Sittard in 2017 but left in 2018 after having a problem with the club's ownership. Oliseh alleged he was being ordered by the club leadership to engage in match fixing . Inter Milan have appointed former Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi as their new coach to replace Antonio Conte, who guided the club to their first Serie A title in 11 years. The Nerazzurri released a statement via the club’s official homepage confirming that the now-former Biancocelesti coach has signed a two-year deal with the club, which expires at the end of June 2023. Simone Inzaghi began his coaching career with Lazio managing their various youth teams before being promoted to the first team in April 2016 when replacing Stefano Pioli who was sacked mid-season The 45-year-old led Lazio to five straight finishes in the top seven in Serie A, which saw them played in a European cup competition every season he’s been in charge, including the Champions League this past season. This is just the latest managerial change in Serie A since the end of the campaign, with Juventus, Napoli, and Fiorentina among those to have dismissed their coaches.

Nigerian athlete, Blessing Okagbare has set a new meet record after winning the 100m women’s event at P-T-S Meeting in Samorin, Slovak Republic in 10.98 secs.  With her impressive run in 10.98 secs, Okagbare set a new meet record as no other woman has ever won the race under 11 seconds in the Meet held in the Eastern European country. The excited Nigerian athlete wrote on Facebook;    “Thank God for another healthy race/win today."     Okagbare first broke the 11 seconds barrier for the first time in her career at the Crystal Palace Aviva London Grand Prix in London on July 14, 2012, when she ran 10.99 secs. This is also the 21st time Okagbare has run under 11 seconds in her career; a feat no Nigerian athlete has replicated. 

Former Arsenal, Juventus, and Wolfsburg forward Nicklas Bendtner has announced his retirement from football at the age of 33.  The ex-Denmark international, who made 81 caps and scored 30 goals for his country over 12 years from 2006-2018, most recently played for Tarnby FF's 'M+32 Old Boys' team.' Bendtner enjoyed a spell at Arsenal under Arsene Wenger from 2005-2014, where he scored 45 goals in 171 appearances.    'I miss it every day, but I am also aware that there is an end date in this job. The Rivers State Police Command has arrested three members of a one-chance robbery gang including a woman. The trio were arrested on Wednesday, June 2, at Rumuosi community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state after dispossessing a filling station manager, Simeon Ibrahim, of N1.5million. It was gathered that the victim was on his way to a new generation bank along Rumokoro axis of the council when the robbers who operated as commercial taxi operators trailed and carried him. While on their way, the female suspect screamed that her hands were hurting and appealed to Ibrahim to assist her in opening the vehicle's door. While Ibrahim was trying to open the door, they took the money from him and tried to push him out of the vehicle but the victim dragged the steering wheel and raised alarm.  A taxi driver was said to have blocked the robbers with his car and residents apprehended the robbers who unsuccessfully tried to flee.  Spokesperson ...

About 35 minutes before a Wednesday midnight deadline, the centrist Yair Lapid told President Reuven Rivlin in an email: “I am honored to inform you that I have succeeded in forming a government.” Rivlin, attending Israel’s soccer cup final at the time, congratulated Lapid by phone, according to his office. Robbers have stormed two towns in Osun State, hitting two banks and a police station. The banks attacked were First Bank in Ikire, headquarters of Irewole Local Government Area and Access Bank in Apomu, headquarters of Isokan Local Government Area. Their arrival at about 5.30- 6pm on Wednesday and sporadic shooting caused great panic. Residents said the robbers first attacked the Apomu bank before moving to Ikire. From videos and photos shared online, both banks were bombed by the bandits.   The heist taken away was yet unknown. At least four people were killed in the two attacks.
