Alhaji Bashir Saidu Namaska, son of the Emir of Kontagora, has been killed by bandits in Niger state, the police said on Thursday. Bashir was on his way to the father’s farm at Lioji village of Kontagora Local Government Area of the state. Mr Adamu Usman, Commissioner of Police confirmed the killing in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria NAN in Minna. Usman said on May 20 at about 1500 hours, armed men suspected to be bandits went to the Emir of Kontagora farm close to Lioji village, shot one Alhaji Bashir Namaska, son of the Emir of Kontagora. He was rushed to Abdul Azeez clinic, where he died. The bandits also shot one Umar Maikatako and Saidu Shehu of Salka village of Magama Local Government Area. They were taken to Kontagora General Hospital for treatment. A joint patrol of Police/Army and vigilante team has been mobilized to the area while the Air Force conducted aerial surveillance. Wendy Williams has revealed the severity of her chronic health condition following her battle with lymphoedema, a disease that causes swelling in the legs. The US daytime talk show host took to Instagram to share photo of her swollen foot and urged fans to join Team Wendy Williams for her run/walk to fight lymphatic diseases.      She wrote in her caption: ‘My Dr. Laure is the French lady who’s helping me live with lymphedema. Steven Gerrard and David Beckham have become the latest players to be inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame. The former England captains are the seventh and eighth players to be handed the honour, joining Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard and Dennis Bergkamp. Gerrard spent 17 years at Liverpool - including 12 as captain - during which time he scored 120 goals and provided a further 92 assists in 504 Premier League appearances.     Those figures place him 11th on the all-time list for appearances in the Premier League, 18th for goals and seventh for assists. Russian Premier League club, Spartak Moscow have agreed to sign Victor Moses on a permanent deal from Chelsea. The former Nigeria international joined the Russian outfit last summer on loan after failing to win over former Blues boss Frank Lampard. His temporary stay in Russia has proved to be a success after he scored four goals and made several assists in 19 appearances as Spartak finished runners-up to champions Zenit St Petersburg. The club confirmed that they will trigger the option in his loan deal to keep the 30-year-old on a permanent basis, with reports from Goal claiming the Blues will receive a €4.5million (?2.2billion) fee in three installments. 'His contract would be automatically redeemed if the team finished in the top three, and we finished second,' Spartak's PR director Anton Fetisov told RIA Novosti. Comedian, Princess, took to Instagram to react after actor, Baba Ijesha was granted bail on health grounds. Baba Ijesha's lawyer said the actor was granted bail on May 17, and will be released after his bail conditions have been perfected. Recall that Baba Ijesha, whose real name is Olanrewaju James, was caught on CCTV sexually molesting Princess' underage foster daughter. He was detained as a result. Reacting to news he's been granted bail, Princess tweeted: "I will win not immediately but definitely." Former Kwara state governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, has reportedly been arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. According to Channels Television, the former governor is being questioned by a crack team of operatives at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja The 57-year-old was said to have arrived at the EFCC headquarters at about 10 am on Monday, in response to the invitation sent to him by the agency. Following his arrival at the anti-graft agency’s office, Mr. Ahmed was reportedly in the interrogation room for about seven hours, writing statements. Sources told Channels that his arrest was in connection with how funds to the tune of about N9 billion were allegedly diverted from the coffers of the Kwara State government. The money was alleged to have been diverted during Mr. Ahmed’s tenure as governor of the state, and when he served as the Commissioner for Finance in the administration of former Governor Bukola Saraki.
