A Spanish court has sparked outrage after acquitting a man of sexually abusing his 14-year-old stepdaughter despite the fact she gave birth to his child. The Pamplona court accepted the defendant’s claim that the teenager had sat astride him while he was asleep on the sofa and engaged in penetrative sex. The man said he had no recollection of the supposed encounter as he had been very drunk that night. Close to nine months later, in December 2018, the girl was admitted to hospital and gave birth to a child, something the accused claimed had been a complete surprise to him and the girl’s mother.   Social services ordered a paternity test, which confirmed that the stepfather was the father of the baby. The girl’s mother reported the father for alleged sexual abuse of her daughter. Former Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose, is of the opinion that PDP remains the hope of Nigerians. The governor shared his opinion on his Twitter  handle. His tweet reads; ''PDP remains our only hope and that of Nigerians at large. It must therefore be jealously preserved by our priceless sacrifice. This is our bond.''

A community revenue collector, Ifeanyi Ezinwa Paul, 29, (pictured right), has told the police that he killed his 19-year-old kinsman, Victor Ebuka, pictured left, in order to avoid paying the N100, 000 loan he collected from the boy some time ago. Recounting how he met how he killed Ebuka, Paul who is married with three children, said sometime in December 2020, he met Ebuka to borrow him the money with a promise to pay back on January 10, 2021. However, his inability to pay the loan made him conceive the idea of killing Ebuka   “I am married with three children. I dropped out of secondary school at SS2, months after my father died. I learnt how to drive and started driving commercial buses. It was not easy for me. Two years ago, my kinsmen invited me to come and work for the community. Plus-size model cum and actress, Monalisa Stephen, says she would rather go for adoption than have children of her own. Monalisa who recently had an interview with the Sun, said she took a decision when she was a teenager never to have a child of her own and is still standing by the decision.   In her words;   “Yes, I am still standing on my decision not to have my own kids. It was a decision I took when I was 16. I will rather go for adoption than have my own children. In fact, I may dedicate my life work to catering to kids around the world. I hope my future husband will understand and respect my decision.”

Two former retail workers have accused Usher of shoplifting.   Stylist Brian Jimenez took to Twitter to narrate how Usher allegedly walked into the store he used to work in and left with a $2,000 jacket without paying.   Brian tweeted: "When I used to work retail, usher walked in and tried on a $2,000 jacket. He chopped it up for a bit while still having it on. NBA legend, Michael Jordan has been announced as the presenter for Kobe Bryant's induction into the Basketball Hall of the Fame.  At the 2020 Naismith Hall of the Fame induction ceremony on May 15, Jordan will share his thoughts on the Lakers great, when he presents the 18-time All-Star and 5-time NBA Champion at the 2020 Naismith  Members of the 2020 Naismith Hall of Fame class selected previous Hall of Famers to introduce to present them on induction night. But in the case of a posthumous selection, the family members of the inductee made the selection.
